In this video, we're thrilled to share our early Easter break experience, staying in the luxurious Knightly Lodge, a steal at £500 for a Monday to Friday stay. It's not just any accommodation; with an entrance hall, two bathrooms, a washing machine, and a wraparound balcony, it's a home away from home, offering secluded peace on the edge of the park.
🏠 Stay tuned as we give you a complete tour of our lodge and the park, showing off all the exciting activities it has to offer. Ty Mawr is like a mini Center Parcs with high ropes, survival courses, archery, football, buggy rides, craft workshops, and much more, including a large swimming pool with slides.
🍽 We also dive into the culinary scene, with multiple visits to the on-site restaurant, sampling dishes like Katsu Curry, and exploring the entertainment options, from amusements to live shows, a supermarket, and even a chip shop.

Hi thank you so much for watching and commenting. I think we had WiFi in our lodge which was good because it had a smart TV and the kids seemed happy playing Minecraft with their online friends. Anyone know when Ty Mawr was taken over by Park Resorts (now ParkDean)?. I've heard it was previously owned by Haven Holidays but no idea when it changed. And who owned it before Haven?.

@@2twinstersThanks for the reply. Yeah it is strange Haven let Ty Mawr go, but I suppose they had Presthaven as well. I have a feeling that either Butlins or Pontins were there previously, but I could be wrong. Haven also took over Marton Mere in Blackpool but I've no idea when but probably in the mid 2000s as right through the 90s it was just named Martin Mere caravan and touring park and wasn't owned by any big holiday company.

@@2twinsters Hi, I've heard that Ty Mawr was owned by Haven (or Haven British Holidays) from the early 80s up until 2001 when it bought by Park Resorts. I never knew Haven had been around that long. There's a TV advert from 1983 with Cannon and Ball in it where they are looking through a Haven brochure and Ty Mawr is shown in it. Marton Mere in Blackpool became Haven in 2004 apparently.
