Rabbi Fischer is a rebbe, mentor, and guide to so many with his deep respect, interest, non judgement, and love to his students and listeners.
He is the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Matisyahu and runs a wonderful rehab in the Old City of Jerusalem.
He was previously the founder and Rosh Hayeshiva of Lev Shlomo in Baltimore, then as Menahel Ruchani and Rebbe in Yeshiva Shor Yoshuv and also as the Director of Shma boys camps.
Rabbi Fischer brings with him many talents and positive energy which he uses to connect to his Talmidim and to all with whom he is involved.
Rabbi Fischer leads his students in a way that focuses on becoming amazing husbands, living authentically, loving one's self, and walking hand-in-hand with the Borei Olam.
He is known for his daily interactive afternoon shiur which focuses on self-growth and judging others favorably.

Wow. He's so honest! I love when he said that going through pain alone, and not sharing it with someone, is probably worse than the pain itself. It reminds me of a concept that I love which is; you can't choose whether or not there's pain -but are you choosing to suffer? Also, one of my favorite quotes: "You can't choose the music life plays for you, but you can choose how to dance to it". If you share your pain you are doing something that may be much harder in the moment, but will very much benefit your future self. ☺ I never met or even heard of Rabbi Fischer before, but when he said "no matter what you did, no matter who you are, I love you", I felt as if he was speaking directly to me. He seems like such an amazing man. I'm really inspired. Thank you Yaakov.

I took out a notebook and both wrote down so many things which Rabbi Fischer said and decided I am going to start journaling. The reason being, I think the takeaway, for me at least, is to be more real with myself. This way, I can grow to be a better “me”

Nice interview. I grew up with the family. Was fairly close with R’ Yoni’s brothers. In fact I think their grandfather was my mohel. Anyway, R’ Yoni is good people. And that is not an accident. His folks and community were all committed to all aspects of the klal.

I had never heard of R' Fischer before this interview, but wow, he's pretty special. I feel like he's on a similar wavelength to me in so many areas, yet he's a rosh yeshiva, and it was very nice to hear someone share like he did.

One of the talmidim of the Gra says that the reason the Mishna says, "yesh lahem cheilek LAolam haba" is because each person's soul has a certain craving for a particular mitzvah that will be his way to get to olam haba.
