Las Vegas, Nevada - DISCOVERY Children's Museum is thrilled to announce that the prestigious Museums for America Program, administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), awarded the Museum a $250,000 grant for the second year. Out of 568 applications and 218 recipients, DCM's "Water World" project stood out for its merit and innovative approach to fostering lifelong learning and community engagement.
The IMLS Museums for America grants are highly competitive and provide invaluable support to museums of all sizes, empowering them to enrich their programs and enhance public service. With the funding received, DISCOVERY Children's Museum will embark on an ambitious redesign of its popular Water World Exhibit, creating new content around water conversation and using less water for the exhibit.
