Those inclusions are wild. I don't know if you ever looked into the metaphysical valise but a quick Google search on Chlorite Quartz and it's a powerful mineral.

I just found your channel a couple weeks ago and I’m really enjoying them. My sons and I love all sorts of “rocks.” We go camping/hiking quite a bit and it never occurred to me to take a look around for crystals!!! Thanks for the tips (like looking for roots, etc)!!! P.S. You have found enough crystals to give folks bags of them??? Woooww!! That’s amazing! And very nice of you!

Can't tell you how much I enjoy cleaning some but very gently. I am going to put some clusters on driftwood. I put the driftwood in my plants, mainly orchids. They love the power of the crystal as I do too.

Nice to see someone using a wood dowel (paint brush?) to clean out a pocket. It makes me cringe when I see people using screwdrivers. I have been doing limited rockhounding up in Pisgah NF. So far only found some tourmaline and garnets. Nothing really collectable. Maybe one day I will hit a pocket like yours. Subscribed

It takes a lot of patience but it's worth it in the end. You keep following and I'll put you on some of those pockets. Thank you for the watch.

Finding a lot of crystals with green chlorite inclusions here in the piedmont of NC also, including green phantoms. Cool to find someone here on KZbin prospecting in NC too! Haven't done much rock hounding in western NC but here in the piedmont the Uwharrie National forest is where a lot of people go crystal digging and gold sluicing. Where is a good area to start poking around in the Appalachians?

I would recommend looking into Mitchell and Yancey County. I love the Chlorite it really sets off the quartz. I would love to see some of the stuff you find. Add me up on Instagram if you got it.

Your gems are really beautiful!! Being out in nature this time of year is lovely to the eyes ! Then you mention gold, almost looks like gold in the quartz.? Stay safe and see you next time.

I think it is gold biotite mica included in these crystals. I have panned out some of the concentrates from this pocket and I haven't seen any heavies just tons of pyrite. Which pyrite could also be the gold inclusions but it seems awfully gold to me. Thank you for the comment.
