Discovery Princess - Cruise to Cabo San Lucas, MX - Hotel California Todos Santos - Ship Galley Tour

Discovery Princess is the newest ship on the fleet, with a new ship coming in early 2024. We had the pleasure of cruising to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for 5 nights. We explored and enjoyed almost everything the Discovery Princess has to offer. We booked an excursion to Hotel California in Todos Santos, a quaint magic town in Cabo San Lucas. Love you guys! You're so easy to watch. You're so positive and have such a great outlook on life! We were on the Discovery to Alaska last year - it's not a good Alaska ship since it has no observation lounge. However, we were on her sister, the Enchanted Princess, to the Caribbean for my 60th birthday and had an absolute blast! Looking forward to your next video. We're off to Hawaii in 11 days on Holland America's Koningsdam for 17 glorious days! (Jealous much? LOL! 😆) 💕❤

That horn is the only reason I want to go on Princess - nostalgia. But I have Royal to AK and then Bliss before I have to pick between Princess or Carnival for HI can't decide.

The Love Boat horn is awesome 😄 that's so cool! We ended up choosing Princess to Hawaii since it was the best deal between the two price wise 😋 we definitely need to go again 🤙

Thanks for all the great shots of the ship. I'm on the Discovery out of California in a little over a month; how was the embarkation for you? Did you already have your Medallions? When did you arrive to the port and how long before you were on the ship? Thanks for sharing and for any tips you can give on the embarkation in California.

Thank you for watching! 😄 that's awesome, embarkation for us was smooth actually. Princess is very organized compared to other cruise lines, it took us about 15 minutes to wait in line and go through security. We arrived to the port early at around 10:40 am, and we received our medallions at the port of LA after going through security screening. But overall very smooth and quick process! For the 360 shots we used the suction cup mount and attached it to every window or wall that we seen possible lol the suction cup mount actually exceeded our expectations it holds on pretty well and it does not damage any surface that we attach it to 🙂

Hi! 😁 we liked the race track, lazer tag, water slides, and better food options on NCL Bliss. We appreciate the vegetarian food options, dairy free dessert options, and the Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant. The NCL Bliss was amazing to us, but we still had so much fun on Discovery Princess. How was the food compared to Norwegian all in all? Planning to take one or the other in Nov.

We would have to say the NCL Bliss 😊 There are more food options, and we feel like NCL does their best to provide options for everyone. They have original ice cream, but they also provide dairy free options (princess does not). There are plenty of meats throughout the day, but also vegetarian options or often vegan meat imitations. We loved the Teppanyaki, that has been our favorite cruise restaurant on any ship so far. Their 24 hour complimentary restaurant "local bar and grill" was excellent! All in all, NCL Bliss was amazing 😁 November is also a perfect time to go to Mexico, blue skies and sunny weather 🌞

Hi! Question for you: I'm taking the same cruise (Discovery Princess on Feb 19) and the same excursion. Did you use Mexican currency or US dollars? Where did you exchange money? Before you got on the cruise, on the cruise?

We used US dollars 😃 Actually, most Mexican cities like Cabo San Lucas accept the US dollar because there are so many American tourists year round. Many stores have their items listed in both Mexican pesos and US dollars. If they don't, ask the employees how much an item costs in US dollars they will gladly help. I paid with my credit card at the Sushi restaurant, OXXO convenience store, and at a pharmacy. It's still good to have smaller bills like 1s and 5s as well for smaller souvenir shops. We never felt the need to have pesos 😁 I hope that helps, Goodluck and have a fun trip 😊
