It replaced my 15yo pfn champion monster, and I think Discraft hit a grandslam with this mold. It feels absolutely amazing in hand. $$$ disc for 200-250ft forehand approaches when a flair is needed

A couple orignal thoughts: 1. The little tool you are searching for is a digital caliper or a stack of pennies. 2. Konnor should take his lens apart, clean it, put it back together and enjoy the ghost spot for the rest of his career. 3. I love seeing pro vs Joe reviews. Keep up the great work.

For the last 15years my utility disc has been a og pearly pfn champion monster. I am tired of worrying about loosing it, or breaking it in the cold weather. I picked up a Capt.Rap and I am really impressed with the feel of the plastic, and how well it feels in hand. Discraft hit a grandslam with this mold imo. That thing is $$$ for 200-250ft forehand approaches.

Not all of them are color shift just FYI. Unless I'm completely ignorant on what color shift is. It's shimmery almost holographic looking right? My buddies was like that but mine doesn't have the shimmer. It's still gorgeous though.

I like Brodie's comment in your Instagram live broadcast for the unboxing. He talked about it replacing the Machete in the bag. And from the reviews, it appears to be similar but with more glide. And that's perfect for what I would want it to be. The Machete is stupidly overstable, almost Tilt-like for me. But I think this disc will give me more usability than my Machete. So ... looks like I'll be grabbing one! Thanks for the review!

they are already pretty expensive. i have seen one already go in the 80's but it was a pretty special looking halo with money stamp. the others i have been watching are barely touching normal $30 range. That being said i heard this is a once a year run so maybe if you hold hold hold this first run it will gain over time. obviously colors and stamps help though.

I have the Z-GLO Ledgestone Raptor. It's so overstable, it's almost unthrowable, for my arm. I can't imagine the CapRap is more overstable, or it's just a Tilt.

You could measure the rim height with a depth gauge. The end of most calipers have one incorporated (the end opposite of the display).

To measure difficult things like this, get a piece of string or similar put it on the flight plate, pull tight, mark with like a permanent market then get reading with the tape measure off the marked string.

Imo this disc is what the Tilt was supposed to be. It is extremely overstable but its not unusable. I’ve actually thrown this on the course a few times already and its been perfect.

It’s pretty close to a OG 400 H1 with more glide in my opinion 👍🏻 I think the CaptainsRaptor is slightly faster to be honest. A touch more glide. But not OG 750 H1 stability lol As for Thumbers/Tomahawks, It still can’t beat a ZFLX Machete in distance. Still a little too slow. But works well if people don’t like the wider rim on a Machete.

I have a regular tour series raptor and it is so perfect, I wouldn't change a thing about it. I have absolutely no desire to buy the captains raptor and essentially make changes to a disc I love so much. I can't see why anyone would need this unless they have at least 400 ft of power. I love discraft but this just feels like a money grab that they are trying to get you overly excited about.
