Wolfgang Schmidt's throw is art. Hartings ability to block a 70+ meter throw without moving is incredible.

Anyone know the details of the bloke who releases at 0.24seconds, and date/year of the throw?. . . Just curious. Does a side on turn but hits a good power position with a decent high point and separation, and non reverse finish.

what is the name of the first tyoe of throwng. Where the athlete laucnhes off the set up discus circle full of sand?

That used to be discus. No other word for it.

The guy @:26 uses as good of technique as anybody, he just didnt have the advantage of God-knows-what they used later on to become ridiculous beasts. Much nicer to watch a natural athlete perform than somebody who came out of a test-tube.

I guess Charles you don't know your history .....You did not show one of the greatest discus throwers Fortune Gordien....
