Discussing Dallas Cowboys Projected Starters | Blogging The Boys

Recently the folks over at NFL.com put together a list of projected starters and what they have listed for the Dallas Cowboys is very interesting. In looking at the group it is fair to have some optimism about what Dallas may be able to accomplish in 2024. RJ Ochoa discusses the list and adds his analysis to it all.

It's gonna come down to how they perform in the trenches. With the new names starting on oline and dt, and last year's lackluster performance on both sides of line of scrimmage, these new trench players need to do good

I feel like it’s gonna be even split between Rico and Zeke until Rico gets hurt. Then Zeke will take over and as long as the line is playing “well” he will be fine.

No way Zeke ends the season with more touches than Rico unless injuries keep derailing Rico, he has way fresher legs and has that bull mentality he’s going to shock people especially if the olines as good as expected

I'm with you here, for the not being upset And holding other's feet to the 🔥 HowEVER, The reason why I'm not upset is bc it is what it has been 🤦‍♂️ Vain promises from this FO NOW, If we're being fair, this same organization held on to favorites for far too long They've held on to coaches for far too long They've handicapped this team for far too long They wasted Romo best yrs and both D4K and Zeke's rookie yrs too THEN, It remains to be seen whether they fill-in the final holes and depth needed to get the job done Can we really expect more without fortifying the roster? HECK NO!

But you're completely glossing over experience equals age. We have a lot of older players, many of them way past their prime, and susceptible to injuries. Their brain can figure things out, but their body's not able to execute it, or be consistent enough for the season to be reliable. That's one of the major concerns we all have. Not only having some rookies come in and key positions, but those people were trying to stick in with experience, could very well be beaten by younger healthier players. I'm hoping they all make it through 17 games, but hiistory is not on their side
