To tie a couple concepts together...the snake symbolism is important because by remaining grounded to the earth as you mentioned, the snake sheds its skin repeatedly throughout its physical incarnation. This suggests a journey one must engage throughout their physical lifetime to keep growing. Furthermore, as mentioned in the video the renticular complex is what drives our primal instincts in physicality, think fight, flight, freeze. By surrendering and allowing source to guide you through your shadow and willingly playing out (to move through) your fears, you will be forced to fully activate the "reptilian" portion of your brain, the portion responsible for keeping you alive. Through this process you are activating the mirrored "keep you alive" portion of your immortal, cosmic consciousness. This is relevant because Quetzecoatal is synonymous with the winged serpent of many colors (chakras). Winged, elevated, transcendence of physicality. Quetzecoatal is the roadrunner spirit and roadrunners were used by ancients because they prey on snakes. Life overcoming death. More Phoenix symbolism of self empowerment. Whether Q or Yeshua, this is the same archetype repeating throughout each great covilization. The only real difference between the staffs you reference with respect to the single or dual snakes is that single is mono, one, you cannot know life without death. Two snakes equals duality, the baseline, binary pulse of life emitted from the galactic core. Red and blue, blood in, blood out, binary. Purple is royal because it is both the masculine and feminine frequencies merged in balance. Spirit and matter.

I think it is interesting that you are correlating Caduceus with practicality. Although Asclepius is indeed the healers staff and is the true symbol of healing.... Caduceus is the heralds wand. The staff of Hermes Trismegistus. The staff of Thoth. The staff of alchemy. To relegate it to be simply a symbol of practicality is in my opinion, very reductive and completely out of alignment with its true nature.

Interesting video. I agree with everything except with the part that says that Mercury has nothing to do with healing, medicine and this is not a Western Astrology claim. In Vedic Astrology, Buddha (Mercury) has the trading, communicative side which is Gemini but it also has the healing, service oriented side which is Virgo. This is why Virgo, the 6H and all Mercury ruled Nakshatras which are Ashlesha, Jyeshtha and Revati are connected to healing, and the interesting part is that all these Nakshatras ruled by Mercury are final sections of Water Signs: Ashlesha is in Cancer, Jyeshtha (which corresponds to Ophiuchus itself) is in Scorpio and Revati is in Pisces. All these Nakshatras are symbolically connected to snakes too. Mercury rules methods; ability to distinguish, separate, organize, systematize; manual skills, handcraft and this is all part of the foundation of Medicine. Without these Mercury roles it wasn't possible to investigate, distinguish, diagnose and treat (using the hands to physically assess and evaluate, to establish a treatment plan and handcraft medicines was the basis of Medicine). Mercury is a planet designed to be precise (important for surgeries) and to see facts not to perspectives (this is Jupiter, planet that rules opinions, belief systems including those that can deviate from the facts). This is why the sign of Virgo, Mercury, the Nakshatras ruled by this planet and the 6H are always looked at in Vedic Astrology in situations that involve disease and healing in general, specially those on a physical level (the earthly side of the planet). This inquisitive and down to earth side of Mercury is the reason why Uranus (higher octave of Mercury) is highly connected to technological advances and research in our times. Using the Sidereal Zodiac in Vedic Astrology, my Venus is in Scorpio in Jyeshtha Nakshatra (correspondent to Ophiuchus) in the 6H while in the True Sidereal system, my Venus is in the same house in Ophiuchus. I've been a researcher, healer (physical therapist) and public speaker for 16 years (I'm 45 now). :)

I think what Ophiuchus and the symbolism of the snake is saying is that physicality is the key to awakening. A lot of dogma seems to disconnect us from our bodies. Not only dogma but also the exponential rise of technological advancement and the greater accessibility to everything we could possibly want or need (like thinking of a product and getting it on your door the next day or in a few hours). The disconnection from our bodies leads to a sickness of heart and mind. Relish in physicality, without losing yourself in it.

Great insights!! I am an ophiuchius ascendant in sidereal astrology. Surprisingly (or not ^^ ) my western astrology natal chart have a lot of aspects pointing that I will go by several deep crisis in life, to transform. The western astrologer talked metaphorically about the phoenix reborn from its own ashes. This is very similar to the healing process of ophiuchius. As a snake's molting. For the story, if it's something of interest, this process really happen in my life and begun at an early age. I falled in depression at 9 years old because of the family's dark emotional vibes at this moment. I confronted the big shadow linked to this at age 12, and since then, I confront my own shadows again and again. It is very painful but because I am very sensitive and aware of the suffering generated by my shadows, I can't ignore them. I had win lot of wisdom trough this challenging process. But in the same time I would wish to have a more easy life... I hope to find a place of balance somedays. Often, people are defensive when I talk to them about their own shadows. It hurt them and they prefer to protect themselves by ignoring it. I understand them but in the same time I am sad that they kept stuck in those. I also experienced something that could be called as a Kundalini rising. So I am wondering if only the ophiuchius people could felt that phenomenon...

isaiah allen no. Yhe signs change because the thirteenth sign Ophicus is removed which forces all the signs to shift. Under Tropical a person could be Taurus but under Sidereal they might be Ares.

As a tourist ,in 1984 ...., I visited the ruins of Asklepeieon ,on the Greek Island of Kos ,the home of Hippocrates ,it is said .The information I absorbed at the time from an old guide book ,was that the Aesklepeieon was the pre-Christian site of a 'hospital',archaeological finds included many representations of the human body,small effigies of various human limbs,dedications to the godess .The resident cult of female healers were known to have used the snake as a divinatory tool , snakes having the sensitivity and wisdom to discriminate between the types and qualities of plants and herbs . This experience was pivotal to me at a time when I was exploring astrology , mythology ,feminism and art ,I was using herbs as medicine in the spirit of a Sagittarian b.1953 ,the lunar year of the Snake . I must add that my Sun is on the degree of the Galactic Centre .

YESS JUNG THANK YOOOOU. I also do not understand why we act as if we're "perfect angels". We are human, we have desires and we want carnal pleasure. It's also related to Freud's theory of the mind too, and the Id. I don't know if I believe that anyone is truly evil. I think a lot of what happens is that we suppress our basic desires to the point where they manifest into extremes. The world seems to be so lost/clueless when it comes to the psyche or even mental health.

Another interesting thing that I've read is that when we're under stress- which I think is related to our 'shadow side' (this is based off of personality typology too because I'm interested in that) or our 'shadow functions', we have this protein, ATF-2, that becomes activated and unlocks certain parts of our genetic code which would otherwise be inaccessible. I think DNA holds all the information on the collective experience. I mentioned typology because when one starts to use their 'shadow functions' they become stressed and seem to take on some new sort of persona. It's strange. So it's all kind of connected.

Oppiuchus is not a new phenomenon just discovered by an American astronomer. It was known since 3000years to our Ancestors and this was originally known as Abhijeet nakshatra(Constellation) in Indian astronomy. Every zodiac sign consists of multiple constellations and ophiuchus is not a separate zodiac sign but a Constellation. Abhijeet, also known as ophiuchus is not a separate zodiac sign but a Constellation Abhijeet also known as Ophiuchus is a part of Saggitarious Constellation so don't panic there are only 12 zodiac sign still.

Zodiac signs are constellations. And vedic is still acting as if zodiac signs are 30 degrees apart which makes no sense. Theyre also using incorrect placements of nakshtras. I have my venus exactly conjunct purva ashada for instance, but they told me I have mula, but its not correct to the actual location.

More people should start incorporating true sidereal zodiac with nakshatras in their true places, while also using vedic mysticism but with more accurate ecliptic calculations.
