My advice would be to maybe pull back on the amount of family stuff you share as well, keep that for yourself. While we fans do enjoy seeing that side I think it would help with your mental health to not have to worry about hauling the cameras around with you and documenting stuff when you’re just out and about. When it comes to filming, stick to the studio and focus on the city and when you’re done for the day go enjoy the rest of it with your family and keep that piece of yourself for yourself.

It’s good that you are self-aware and can recognize your triggers and can choose to ignore them. I’m sure Josee will appreciate your help with the twins, as they are also passing a signpost with their potty training. We love you both and want nothing but peace and happiness for you. ❤️

@@KimMDarden Zoos are to some degree animal cruelty. That isn't political correctness, it's a fact. But with all the work zoos do for conservation and awareness of climate change and endangered children, and all the money they raise and projects they support, saying zoos are bad isn't true. Some zoos are worse in how they treat animals, some are better, but in a lot of countries in the first world animals are being treated better and better in zoos. Anyway I agree, don't get rid of the zoo, keep it!

I honestly feel that you need to have a 5 day working week at the Studio, and two Saturdays a month for Whatnot. Sundays are exclusively for your family. Definitely slow down, dude. Give yourself time to rest and enjoy what you're doing. Something to consider: you seem to have moments where you just need to do a lot. Maybe on those days, film more stuff than you need and keep some of that footage put aside for special videos you can post when you need a break but still feel that compulsion to post. Mostly though, don't burn yourself out. From a viewer, it's way more fun to watch you enjoy what you're doing!

I think you need more structure in your life and a good work-life balance. You want 1001 things done at the same time but that's not possible. Like then you work on the zoo, then suddenly you work on your displays in the display rooms, then you suddenly work on the camp ground, sorting stuff and at the end of the day nothing is complete as you planned. Maybe it's better to have some structure in that so you are not all over the place. And cut down on uploading. And not starting on the camp ground when the zoo is not done yet etc.

Zoo's are not cruel to animals. Maybe in the 80's and earlier generations animals were captured specifically to be in a zoo, but nowadays basically all the animals in a zoo are rescued and/or would not be able to survive in the wild. Zoo's also help to breed animals to release back into the wild. In terms of your lion enclosure, maybe change the tan to dark tan because the lions themselves are tan and they are harder to distinguish being they blend in with the atmosphere.

I think the reduction in uploads would be very beneficial to both you, your family and the channel as a whole. Whilst this is by no means saying that the videos you produce are not good, I think giving yourself a couple days to make one video will greatly increase the quality in the clips included in each video. It could allow you to experiment more, try out new ways to film or new ways to engage the audience. Additionally, uploading everyday is bound to run you dry on energy, which after 4 years for you it is seeming like that is the case. There is a fantastic reason why most work places cap hours at 40/week, its because they want to ensure their employees have enough time to rest and recover after a shift. Now, some might say being a KZbinr is not as difficult as many other professions, it doesn't dismiss the fact that you are working double what the average person is. I think your drive to create amazing content for us fans is very admirable and appreciated, however I also believe many of us would happily take a decrease in content to see you feel better and have more time with your family.

You don’t need to make a video every day. Don’t break yourself by trying to fulfil everyone’s expectations. Not gonna happen anyway. Take more time for your family. Your kids are only this old once in your life and theirs. Rest a bit, get peed and poobed on while potty training. Makes for excellent stories to embarrass your kids in front of a future son or daughter in law, when they are grown up. If it takes you a month to build a lion enclosure in your zoo it will probably turn out even better. Nobody expects you to finish your city in a year or two. If you are done in 10 years I’d still be shocked at the speed. I’ve spend two months just playing with parts to build a jet engine and a pair of angled wings for a Lego build. Plus at that pace I had plenty of time to spend with my daughter.

Daily uploads are a pain for sure, and a lot of the channels that do it have hired help for editing and filming or the host doesn't have a family life. 4-5 videos a week is still a ton of content, especially when you're doing it all yourself. And the kids will only be this little once. That said, there will never be enough time to do all the awesome ideas a creative person can have. At some point you have to shelve some of the ideas and file them away for some future time when you're running low on inspiration and other projects are done.

It doesn’t work anymore if you treat it like a chore.

The city seems to be your passion so less vlogs would help the progress along

What if you switch the elephant enclosure with the giraffe one

Well, I haven't commented on either channel for a while but you inspired a few thoughts: 1) Build a Zoo. Zoological Societies are not evil. They provide spaces for you to learn and teach your children about the variety and beauty of the animals that share our earth. Are some Zoo's not great? Are animal enclosures too small? Yep. True in many cases. But, at the rate we are encroaching on animals natural habitat, if we don't engage, we won''t have many of these animals much longer. Zoo's work is not limited to the Zoo environment , but an also maintaining populations in nature. 2) Impressed by your willingness to build and rebuild when you think you could do better. Always do it the way you think is best for your project. 3) As for the work thing, haven't seen you stick to a change yet. I'm thinking it may be because you try to change too much too quickly, like you've decided to do something and can't wait to get it all done. You have a master plan (I think?) for changes you want to incorporate in your city, purchases, sales etc. Could you make a plan (in small steps!) so you could trial a change and eventually get to the balance that works for you? I don't know what to suggest, since I don't really know the breadth of all your activities. But as a daily viewer, I think you should pick one a day week you don't upload. And that has to have the same weight as any task you want to get done. So, no upload Sat or Sun or Mon for example. I say one day because you will miss it too much if you cut it drastically. Work your way down. And good luck with potty training. This too shall pass.

We aren’t working 7 days per week so we definitely don’t expect you to. Find a good balance & forgive yourself for being a mere mortal like the rest of us.

You should make that pathway/walkway area outside the lion and elephant enclosure maybe 4 or 6 studs thinner to make the middle enclosures bigger
