Conviction rate for murder without a body is 86%. And that's without the trove of great circumstantial evidence against Brad Simpson. He's got an alcohol and an anger problem: he's probably wanting a drink more than anything. Here's to justice for Suzanne and her family and friends.

So, it seems that he took her to Medina County and sealed her in something with one bag of cement. Where could that be? One bag is not that much cement. An old chimney? A hollow tree? Under the roots of the trees by the river? A large enough pipe to slide her body into? And, it didn't take him very long to mix the cement, do it and leave (13 minutes.) He had a place in mind, because he did it all so fast. It must be a place he has been before.

That neighbor should have called 911. People are really stupid. If it was his mother or sister I bet he'd want someone to call for help. It's time they start charging people like that as an accomplice after the fact. This kind of thing happens all the time. If that guy had called I'm sure she'd be alive.
@sherri409425 күн бұрын
The neighbor called police the previous month to report the couple fighting and nothing happened, she stayed. I’m thinking he was like what the heck and stayed out of it. Very sad so stop pointing fingers. Especially After Years of abuse and after a while people just turn their heads no longer getting involved or wanting to be told mind your business. You’re looking at 22 years of marriage and four kids. It’s unfortunate that she never moved on.

Thanks to WOAI for this video, but this was not as focused on finding Suzanne Simpson as I had hoped. Here, your team should realize, after studying the affidavit, that investigators and prosecutors put a lot of emphasis on what they called "the large bulky item wrapped and secured in the blue tarp" (in #17 on P. 4 of the murder arrest affidavit). Furthermore, when read carefully, the affidavit reveals the blue tarp went missing from Brad's black pickup truck between 11:15 am and 1:41 pm on Monday, 10/7/2024, so in this roughly 2.5-hour time interval, while this truck was in the Bandera area. Specifically, that area includes the Brad Simpson's ranch property (with the exact address given in the affidavit) and city of Medina, Texas, which is 10-min drive west of the ranch (almost entirely on Texas highway 16 or TX-16) and other locations between those locations and the two locations this truck was seen at 11:15 am and 1:41 pm. Finally, the use of all the concrete materials (as discussed by Jordan Elder, who also made the Data Quest map, shown briefly in this video) seems to be the volume needed to cover the top of a small, mostly vertical hole (about 2 feet in diameter and about 4 feet deep), which still could be covered with more dirt. Sadly, it seems possible that the contents of the blue tarp were placed in a hole like that (either pre-existing or dug that day, starting around noon, give or take a half hour or so). Reporters, like your team here, need to ask police investigators about where this truck stopped during this narrow time interval (between 11:15 am and 1:41 pm, and especially between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm). Reporters should ask police, "Did you look for this type of dig site?" and "Did you use Ground Penetrating Radar=GPR or similar technologies within a walking range (up to a quarter mile) from these stopping points of this black truck (from the black box data, which were long enough to unload the contents of the bed of this truck). And "Did you see the radar signature of about one bag of concrete or a radar signature related to the contents of the blue tarp?" Or, if investigators don't have GPR and can't quickly access it, "Did you look for disturbed ground in a similar way and use cadaver dogs for all such areas?" Yeah, it has been about one week with all the information in the affidavit already known, so it seems a lot of searching focused on those locations (near where this truck stopped, in that narrow time window) should have already been done. Please, for the benefit of everyone, see that police did, in fact, do this obviously, yet painstaking, work, and that they continue to do it. It seems likely, unless additional people are involved in this case, that this type of search should, eventually, locate Suzanne Simpson.

Thank you for watching and thank you for the feedback! Jordan Elder was at the press conference announcing the murder charge against Brad Simpson and asked several questions regarding the investigation, what law enforcement had uncovered, and more. Law enforcement declined to answer these questions. Yami Virgin has also been working with sources to uncover additional information that has not yet been publicly reported. Though, at the end of the day, everyone on our team is mindful of law enforcement's need to preserve the integrity of the investigation. There are many things we, the public, do not know and will not know until this goes to trial. -Mariah Medina, News 4 I-Team Reporter
@findlisa525 күн бұрын
@@tgsul09 I disagree. The reporters have the same information which is available to the public by the FOIA. Mariah Medina claims here that they are trying their best, but this is a complicated, detailed case, so it does make it challenging to see what info is the most essential. Lately, the police, especially Sgt. Deon Cockrell, has made it clear. The info that helps the police locate Suzanne Simpson is the most important. My guess is that the police are very close to finding her, but they may need a little more time and maybe extra help too.
@tgsul0925 күн бұрын
@ the reporters do not have FOIC capability for investigation notes and details that have not been released by law enforcement. During an ongoing investigation no law enforcement agency will reveal everything. We, the public and journalists, do not need to know details that could disrupt the investigation.

They need to offer Brad a deal like they did Richard McFarland and Andre McDonald. 20 years until there is a possibility of parole. Then, don't parole them. Richard McFarland has been up for parole twice and not paroled to "the nature of his crime."
@findlisa519 күн бұрын
I totally disagree. Sadly, I don't think we got a max effort from local police on this case. For example, now they say Suzanne is "in the Bandera area", but previously police spent four days searching the landfill and Chief Villegas told us repeatedly that his department believed she was there. (News flash, she wasn't there, just like those 3 white trash bags in Brad's truck did NOT contain her body.) Now, predictions can be made (mostly with info from the murder affidavit) for not only when it looks like Brad may have stopped to hide the body, but also for how long, and even approximately where he may have done this. Yeah, that is big deal. Why didn't police (OPPD, TDPS, or at least the FBI, do all that stuff long ago, especially using the time-stamped surveillance data from Medina, which was obfuscated by reporting this as a 13-min visit) and, if they did, at least give us and a general update, about what searching they did. Sadly, it seems in some ways that they have NOT done all they could have in this case. Again, IMO, now is not the time for Brad to be offered a deal. Now is the time for police to look at these attempts to determine where Suzanne body resides, and once they (and any state and federal police helpers agree) go and thoroughly check around those locations for Suzanne's body, down beneath the road level of TX-16, and along the Medina River (yeah, the same river which runs behind Brad's ranch!). These places need to be checked, especially at these spots, consistent with the key info in the affidavit. It sure looks to me that she might be nearby there, still waiting to be found.

They need to use ENDOSCOPE BORESCOPE (would it have visibility?) to scan these lakes at ‘determined disposal’ site/location! He did not had a boat (?) so what do they think how did he place the body + bucket of cement into the lake? It would have to be from the edge somewhere & I would think that the water would have to be ‘deep’ enough to conceal it but not necessarily very ‘deep’ this is why he needed bucket of cement + prevent body from floating out any time after. These borescopes have lights designed to see in drains, pipes, etc, & come with 50’ long cable - enough to find body in the lake (I don’t believe the body would be much deeper than that) being disposed at the edges of lake? Regarding the land field site - #1 they will not give you paper allowing you to enter until you have proper shoes (injury & liability - glass metal sharp object in the field) #2 to get paper to enter they have to run DL & weight the truck for ‘garbage’ disposal & there is computerized record of that because you either have to pay it or you have (2 free) allowance/year regardless of weight! But the weight is recorded on the scale either way! WHAT WAS THE WEIGHT of the TRUCK? WHAT was the WEIGHT of the BODY?

I encourage you to think more about rivers near Medina, Texas, as mentioned in the affidavit, and less about lakes (about 90 miles from that small community). Also, the affidavit suggests a burial site might be relatively close (about a handful of miles) from the Simpson ranch, if you work out the numbers related to info in the affidavit and look for spots where the Medina River runs close to TX-16.

Suzanne's iPhone is likely somewhere in the Republic Services Tessman Road Landfill. Police and their helpers (including police cadets and others) looked for this phone (as well as Suzanne's body) there during the 4-day search, according to what Chief Fidel Villegas said in a press conference. Since cell phone are small, they can be hard to find in a landfill. It also might not have been terribly critical, since most iPhone users use iCloud for backup, so if Suzanne did use iCloud, then most of the data on her phone was already available to investigators, and the recent call and GPS ping data is also stored in the cloud as well as the phone, so investigators had that too. For example, this is how police and prosecutors knew this phone was in the 4000 block of McCullough Ave at 7:15 am on Monday, 10/7/2024. BTW, Suzanne's iPhone seems to have gone into a dumpster near there to get to this landfill. Authorities know the exact details on that from the exact GPS data and other digital data (surveillance cameras, black box, etc.). BTW, please don't interpret this to mean that Suzanne was alive at that location and at that time (mentioned at the end of the paragraph above). She, very likely, wasn't. Finally, Brad didn't have 4 cell phones. That was misreported in this video. Instead, he had 3 cell phones and a laptop, according to the murder arrest affidavit.

Ranch house, not lake house. BTW, his ranch house, like other properties on his block, sits on the Medina River. The river is low, but it would be a great place to look. There are also some small lakes and a reservoir a few miles north of there. These too, especially regarding your comment, would be good places to check. Look at my recent posts on how to work out, using the detailed info in the murder affidavit, approximately when Brad may have reached the burial site and approximately when he may have left it. Even more, one can even determine, with that same info in this affidavit, where, approximately, it seems the body might be. One place to look is in a roughly 2-mile stretch, along the Medina River, on the river side of TX-16. Is she there? I don't know, but it surely looks like a stretch where police should be look thoroughly. They should check the riverbanks and two culverts which run under TX-16 along that 2-mile stretch, where the river draws up on the Medina-bound side of this highway. Again, look for my other recent posts. I have more details in those posts. If he completes the burial more quickly, say in 50-some minutes, then spots up to 3 miles (or more) north of TX-16 are also possible, like near the small lakes and reservoir. These too should be checked.
