Currency of Pakistan is worthless, inflation is at all time high and the IMF doesn’t want to give anymore money to Pakistan as of the time of me writing this comment. Biharis joined hands with the Pakistani in 1971 out of self interest not because they cared about the unity of East/West Pakistan. Now that Pakistan is economically sinking as of the time of writing this comment, it no longer makes sense for a Bihari from Bangladesh to go Pakistan. They were after their own interest 1971 and they are after their own interest now.

We are a proud people ,called Bangladeshi . We appreciate India’s help in ‘71 with the Bangladesh refugee crisis . I remember Mrs Indira Gandhi’s loud cries for help to the international communities to cope with that economic crisis & burden . The world did come with help .Now think ,what our nation did with the Rohingya crisis! Shouldn’t we be proud of us . Similarly , we should do the right for these people too. My home was burnt by the Pakistan army inMalibagh & our business center ransacked by the Biharis in Purana Paltan . I still remember the fear & pain of escaping from Dhaka . We pushed our boats passed the corpses floating in the Narshundi ghat .as we tried to get out of Dhaka . But we have come a long way & one of the strongest emerging nation . We will beat the GDP of Pakistan this year . We have beaten India & Pakistan in 5 economic , political & social standards . Given all these Bihari citizenship should be given to all born in our nation , period . Our Dhaka will once more shine as never seen before . We will rise up as a better nation & stronger nation . As per Simla Agreement, Pakistan is bound to resettle / evacuate all the "non-bengali" population of Bangladesh, back to Pakistan. Even 60% of the Bihari Urdu Speakings were relocated to Karachi, between 1971 to 1974, through PIA airlifts.

to be honest my grand father was from bordhoman , so you can say that i am no different from this people but we do not live there because we know our future is in our hand and we work hard to live a good life instead of those people in the camps. no one is forcing them to live there . most of the people in those camps are good for nothing. those who are rich dont even consider them bihari any more . and to be fair to them , my grand father lost everything he had which was a lot and went mad. this people are down right making excuses for there failure in life to the Bangladeshi government.

Pathikrit Datta Chowdhury বিহারি লোকজন ১৯৭১ এ পাকিস্তান সাপোর্ট করেছিল কারণ এরা ভারত থেকে হিন্দুদের মার খেয়ে খেয়ে শেষে বাঁচার আশায় পূর্ব পাকিস্তানে এসেছিল। এখন যদি পাকিস্তান ভেঙ্গে যায় তবে এদের পূর্ব পাকিস্তানে ও জায়গা হবে না। ধর্মের দোহাই দিয়ে মুসলমান গনহত্যাকে কিভাবে ১৯৪৭ এর আগে সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ হিন্দুরা জায়েজ করতো তা তারা খুব কাছ থেকে দেখেছে। ভারতের চালবাজিতে পাকিস্তান দুটুকরা হয়ে যাক তা বিহারি লোকজন চায়নি। তাই ধর্মের ভিত্তিতে ভারত ভাগ হয়ে জন্ম নেয়া পাকিস্তান রাষ্ট্রটিকে তারা রক্ষা করতে চেয়েছিল। বাঙালি লোকজন আজ হারে হারে টের পাচ্ছে ভারত বাংলাদেশের কত বড় বন্ধু! বাঙালির আজ সাধারণ নির্বাচনে ভোট দেয়ার অধিকার নাই, ফেসবুকে আওয়ামী লীগ কিংবা ভারতের দুর্নীতির কথা লিখলে ধরে নিয়ে জেল বা গুম করে ফেলা হয়। এর চেয়ে দুর্ভাগ্যজনক অবস্থা বাঙালির ব্রিটিশ আমলেও ছিল না।

I have lived very close of this geneva camp for years which is in Muhammadpur,Dhaka and seen their lives very closely.These are very hardworking good people who suffered a lot without any fault.Because their mothertongue was urdu they were called Pakistani .Many of them had businesses , properties but lost everything when war broke and they end up in the camp as refugee.Older generation use to speak pure urdu but newer generation speaks mixed urdu and bangla.Sad part of the story is these are people without a country.Who came from India , living in Bagladesh and were told in the past by politicians that they will be send to Pakistan.Not only that now the newer generation is born in Bangladesh but dont have Bangladeshi nationality though they speak perfect bangla and consider them as bengali .

Currently we are all suffering fom this camp who live nearby, and the amount of sufferenace is unbearable. Many of the people living here maybe good people, but the new generation has no respect for local women, children, elderly, household people, or anybody in the locality. Drugs, rape, weapons, are an everyday routine for them and it is being done openly without consequences. The government should take bigger initiatives to stop this.

I am from Muhammadpur. We have a house in Nurjahan Rd and I lived before and after the war. I am a Bengali. Hindu Bengalis, Muslim Bengalis and Biharis used to live together before the war. Our house was burned by the biharis and some Bengalis were killed. However, after the war, we took revenge and tortured and killed Biharis as well as occupied their houses so they ended up in the Geneva Camp. Luckily, we were able to pay rent to a lady who could speak Bangla stay in the house because our house had to be repaired. I have witnessed torture that my older brothers' friends carried out to a teenage Bihari and one teenager, around 15, or so maybe two years older than me at that time, was taken and slaughtered by Buriganga. I didn't witness the slaughter but a friend of mine who went with the group told me. I, however, saw the boy begging for his life when he was taken to be slaughtered. I know one of my neighbors was killed by Biharis and one was killed in Razia Sultana Rd. We also killed another Bihari man, Moyeen Sardar, who was according to people who killed Bengalis. It is true that we occupied their properties after the war so much so that, according to my sister-in-law, a Bihari lady came for begging to my sister-in-law's uncle's house and she mentioned that the house used to belong to her family.
