This might be my all time favorite trick in a game! Very clever!

You can "break" the game pretty easily doing this. The hardest part is getting enough Mr Gency Exits to pull this off enough times to be worthwhile (grind the Gate Key to floor 101 to get enough Exits to make it worth your while). Once you get an R38 item you can just repeat the process to get random R38 and occasionally an R39 in the bonus gauge. Grind the Gate Key more if you ever need more Exits.

The enemies on it are really low level, as they use it as kind of a tutorial for the item world (and force you to dive on it for story progression).

You can punch gatekeepers off the gate you know, even if you deal 0 damage to them.

I like this method, really good way to get good items early on. The only thing I don't like is how much resources it uses i.e mana, gency exits etc.

I'm fairly new to the game and I've been trying to figure out a good way to gain levels and get mastery for classes and rank my specials. But this is going really fast for new player like myself. You're a little further than I currently am in the story itself.

You can use this same trick and while at it, throw a geo symbol on top of another geo symbol (or enemies on top of geo symbols). They will give tons of class exp early on, enough to get 3* fast and unlock all classes.

I just used this trick to get a Yoshitsuna (r39 Sword), in chapter 3. Don't think I've ever broken a single game this hard, this early before, lol. I tried to use Christo's Eye for Discovery evility, but that doesn't work when skipping floors. :(

You can spam the potion if you want but he's progressing upwards to stronger and stronger items for better rewards.

Is money even important in the game? Early on I set the cheat shop money value to 0 and got by fine. I never came close to running out and only bought stuff from the item world. As for base shops I only bought status items and healing from the nurse which cost pennies for me. I played D1 and although I don't remember everything I recall using money much more.

for instance, you can pay to pass bills, and creating characters now too uses money instead of mana, so there is that to do, but i do find money less useful in d1 than d5, since most of stuff on d1 actually asks for mana and the money is more for R37-38 items on the shop to go then to item world to get the R39-40s items, later on in the item world with the NPCs selling stuff also its useful for the bribe items on other note

Hmmmm no. You get those items and can actually dive into one of them and do this again for rewards above its own rank, and again and again until you have a R38/39 item to farm more of those and hunt for R40 ones.

Yes, if you do this continously and get an item of a higher rank each time you dive into one item with the 'better rewards' bill. Just save after the bill is passed and reload if you dont get an item of a higher rank at the bonus list.

Yeah but it's just a trick to clear the story faster. Leveling a legendary R40 item (or just wasting time trying to find one this way) and all that won't do you any good in the long run. You need to unlock postgame/LoC to get endgame gear.

sorry about that this video used to have notes but with the youtube updates they got deleted. The whole idea of this is getting as high of a rank of an item as soon as possible since the higher rank items sell for more. The items go some where from rank 1 to rank 40 I think. The reason why I focus on releasing citizens is because after releasing 50 you get an "EXP lV" which is around rank 20. This item is halve way though the ranks so its a good starting item for early game. I go from a "Exp lV" (rank 20) enemy level 225 "Imperial Crown" (rank 27) enemy level 382 "Iron Ball" (rank 32) enemy level 540 "absolution" (rank 38) enemy level 810
