You should use lv99 thieves early on, so the boxes are lv99 and give exp as if they were around lv320~ish. Lv99 enemies giving way more exp has been a thing since the first Disgaea and still works. When you get past that to like lv350+ then use the highest you can. "Brawler" is how you call the male and female martial classes, it means you can pick either. Same for "Fighter" being either the warrior and valkirye.

It doesn't make sense considering you only unlock the boxes on a lvl 150 thieves.

@@Li_Qiye While skills are unlocked at level X, if you reincarnate with enough experience in said skill you'll keep said skill when you become Lv1 provided the requirements are met. (In this case being a thief.)

As a note to anyone who might find this comment. If you are playing the Nintendo Switch Demo, none of this works because you can't unlock other classes or transfer your save data to the full game on the Switch.

TIPS FOR THE ITEM WORLD:Brawlers/Moths/Shoes. Brawlers can knock gate guards off of the gate. Moths can pass through enemies. I recommend 2 of each character. Equip 3 shoes to each character.

thanks for the vid, got this on steam sale and even tho its not online this is some bang for the buck! Also for the soda trick to lvl it helps to find a stage with xp geos so u can turn 8 potions to 4 per lvl with one +50% tile

level up your items in the item world, Character levels in disgaea dont really mean much 99.9% of your stats come from items. aside from that, max out your apptitudes in chara world and finally reach full mastery for all subclasses.

Why isn't there a regular guide to play this game without the short cuts? I can not imagine anyone who wants to sit at a game and drink 4000 sodas in the same spot to gain levels.

because its disgaea, if theres short cuts available thats all anybody will use why make the grind take longer on purpose, if you dont want short cuts then pick a stage and farm it for a few hundred times

Okay so for unlocking the Thief class I was running into a little confusion. 1. I got a Martial Artist to rank 2 but still didn’t unlock. 2. I came to realize in order for this to work I need to take on the Stealing Specialist Quest at the Quest shop first. However, this quest isn’t even showing up in the quest shop lol Am I missing something here? Please help! Trying to do a nice leveling grind here with the demo like in the video before I purchase the game.

You will level your characters with the soda method. You use the crates to level their class levels. The stars in their stats page next to each class. So you gotta boost them levels so they can hit the boxes first.

If you want to increase stats, the character you are using has to master all classes, than you reincarnate

I don't really understand the game much. I'm in post game with a lv2074 maid but despite this I see enemies who have stats super high for their level. Like lv80 nether noble having really high stats but my lv100 characters having way lower stats than them. This game makes no sense to me...

Hey there, Land Decimator is a REALLY weak skill, its good but your sage has to have far more stats compared to what your trying to kill, you can also raise Land decimators level through the skill NPC

Items Have base stats which scale with item level and innocents are effects and stats that can be moved between items.

He called it xp potion but the item just recovers SP. Any item you use gives 1/8 XP for the next level, so anything works, but the Unopened Sodas can be used twice and are cheap, thats why people use them.

hi :-) niice video's. i have a question. if i have a character with all subclasses master'd can i reincarnate it at lvl 5000, or will going to 9999 first make a difference in my stats after the reincarnation? ( dont mind aptitudes though, since i'll plan on doing a few reincarnations after the 1st )

depends on when you reincarnated it last time. if you made a class level 1 and THEN max out its subclasses no the growth wont be the same. for maximum growth you need to max out subclasses THEN reincarnate

It does work I even used it on world 2, stage 1 because there's a geo panel that gives 50% extra exp I was levelling up every 3 turns (roughly 6 sodas)

I just played the demo on Switch and was going to buy it. But seeing those tips makes me not want the game anymore. You realy have to use so much cheesing-stuff to play/advance in this game? Is there no way to just play it from mission to mission and grow stronger "the normal way"?
