These are the cutscenes from Rozalin's DLC appearance in Disgaea D2, followed by an exhibition of her three Special Skills: Rose Thorns, Crest Roses, and Rose Liberation.

Guys. Do not try to figure out the Disgaea timeline when it comes to DLC. It's best to consider that DLC is either non-canon, or is the result of dimension-hopping. I mean, I'm fairly sure Fallen Angel Flonne has met Archangel Flonne at some point. Go explain _that_ one. Not to mention, Prinny Laharl both happened _and_ didn't happen, depending if we're talking about the main series or the Prinny series. You _could_ establish a pretty a pretty believable timeline for the main stories though, I suppose. Mine goes 5 -> 1 -> 2 -> D2 -> 4. I place 5 first because of the implied origins of Asagi and another character from the other games (spoilers), implying it took place waaaaay before the first game. 2 obviously takes place after 1 due to the main cast returning, and I place D2 afterwards due to Sicily not appearing in 2. I place 4 at the end due to Archangel Flonne appearing in it, meaning she regained her position as an angel (and one could also argue Axel seems to have already gone through his character development from 2). And I have no idea where 3 could fit, so I guess anywhere would do. But like I said, don't take it too seriously.

This IS the result of dimension hopping. Rozalin and Adell may have wondered through what Rozalin happened to call a dimensional distortion. They're the only DLC characters that ever even recognized Laharl and Etna.

Thank you for correcting me. That's what I meant to say. Well if Disgaea D2 happened before Disgaea 2 we could think of it as Hanako pulling Laharl out of Laharl's netherworld before D2 but after the first game. This explains Flonne being a fallen angel. It can also explain as to why they sort of ignored Etna's comment about her not wanting to be Laharl's vassal anymore. Although this theory doesn't really explain Laharl's cameos in the other games.

You have that backwards and kind of wrong. It would be 'How does the Adell gang recognize the Laharl gang if this happens before Disgaea 2', and the answer is timey-wimey dimensional distortion nonsense'. Don't think about it too hard. The dimensions probably reverted at some point, and maybe people's memories got jumbled in the process. Sicily's existence, though, still raises questions. Laharl got starved in 2, but she can cook. Was she on vacation?

I just got the Rozalin and Adell DLC, and I am not sure why I am unable to get to them in the game. I am still on Episode 9 (almost done). Do I have to beat the story in order to access both of them? When I first got the DLCs, the game told me that I got additional content and asked me if I want to save or not. I was not sure what the message really meant, so I made a backup copy of my previous save data in case anything goes wrong.

DLC characters (except for Fuka and Desco) only become available once you reach the Post Game, so you'll have to finish the Main Story before you'll be able to fight Rozalin and Adell.

No, this game occurs before Disgaea 2. As far as I can tell, Adell and Rozalin (presumably after Disgaea 2 ended) went through some sort of anomaly or distortion, putting them is the events of Disgaea D2.

Thunderain100 Yes. Technically, this game is a sequel to the first Disgaea but never took place during 2's timeline meaning they have never met my vessel. DLCs are non-canon in every sense of the word. I am not sure how many Netheryears it took before 2.

@@overlordzenon6001 but scilily wasn't even made till recently. The only reason she exists is because they took that idea from an episode from the disgaea anime and just made it more canon. I do feel like Nippon ichi is pretty much digging themselves in random holes with all the supposed time travel stuff over just having the characters appear normally. Like why would baal be more powerful in the past than in the future since he's supposed to be more powerful every time he reincarnates so super tyrant baal in 5 shouldn't even be a thing and should just be the normal baal
