Anybody else want Jester and Phantom to become one role: Poltergeist? You either win by being voted out, or by being killed and doing tasks. Edit: I thought of this because Jester games become “do not die, do not do tasks.” Those are somewhat boring to watch, and we skip through to the meetings. If the Poltergeist had a win condition upon death, the player has some incentive to join the living game outside of meetings. If you think that Phantom is too weak a role, with or without combining it with Jester, maybe reprogram it so that if you do 2 tasks of a certain type alive, one is removed as Phantom. If there’s 3 long tasks, doing 2-3 removes 1. 6 short tasks: complete all 6 to only have 3. This would incentivize quick play as Phantom/Poltergeist, and maybe also make you look like the Snitch. If the Imposter catches on, you’re more likely to be targeted, which means you’ll switch to Phantom play. But if you did your tasks well, Phantom becomes easier. On the Poltergeist’s other hand, if you want to win by Vote-out, being too diligent makes that win condition harder.
