I read "James and the Giant Peach" in my 5th grade. The book was by the same author as the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". The girls didn't track their time very well, so they were trapped in the library. This kind of thing happened in the 6th book in the Arthur chapter book series. Fortunately, a security guard helped them get out.
