Dishonored Corvo´s Folding Sword " | Speed Modeling Ep. 17 [Maya 2015]

Greetings my fellow brethren! I know most of you expected a commentary, but I have to postpone it a little.
But I hope this speed model can make it up to you. I have a lot of 3D fans on this channel and I did not made anything for them since months. So here is the modeling process of corvo´s folding sword!
I did not model the interior of the grip & I faked some of the mechanics. I hope you don´t mind! Let me know your thoughts! :)

Great video :) I tried some modeling I think 2 years ago :D and it didn't go quite well so I went with animating in Source Filmmaker :D but even that :DDD I'm not really active in it :D but You made a really precise model I would say :) You are amazing at these things aaaaand are you gonna use this model in something ? Program ? maybe video :D ?

Thanks mate! :) Thats cool, which program? Source Filmmaker is a cool tool:) I think being active is one of the most important things if it comes to 3D modeling. so if you are bored or don´t know what to do ....just DO IT! I still need to get better. I save all my models. a while back I tried to animate a first person shooter reload animation. good thing I had arms and weapons already modeled :)

Yep :D You're right :) I like some reload animations out there :D even some crazy ones where you throw your clip into the sky :D ridiculous stuff :) and I think I'll try to do something today :D I hope I'll get a nice idea for animation or model :D I'll probably just mess around with it and do nothing serious :D

yeah there are some pretty neat animations out there! Do you know the secret reload animations from battlefield hardline? ok I wish you a good motivation and may it work out the way you want to! :) even with just messing around your skills get better! so nothing wrong with thaT!
