Andrew and Fergi can get into and out of the church without being seen. In my opinion Fergi shouldnt have done the walk acting like a Royal last year and this year I think they should realise they are out of public favour and not make things more difficult for Charles. I think Andrew is being used as a scapegoat with this Chinese thing as plenty of politicians also had dealing with him but he should still keep out of the public eye for the sake of the family. If he and Fergi want to get photographed they can have their own trip out away from the Royals.

What you called "family problems" is the reason that my mom decided to call it "the Christmas spirit". Whatever went wrong: personal squabbles, disasters in the kitchen - it was "the Christmas spirit". But the show must go on! Currently my parents are 94 and still healthy enough to be at their own home with the help of my younger brother. We have been 4 siblings but our parents cannot stand all of us visiting at the same time. Thus each of us got his "shift". Mine is on December 25th, late morning to early afternoon - after that they are exhausted and need their rest. I try to enjoy my time with them as long as it is lasting. The air is getting really thin once you crossed the threshhold of the 90s - and everybody knows it. Joy to the world! Peace and health to everybody!

I'm not looking at all forward to Christmas Neil, I lost my Son a year ago at the age of 43 & i can't get past it in any way, shape or form, but I've been invited to my other Son's & Daughter in Law to spend the day with them & my Grandchildren so I have to keep up the charade of being really happy all day, I don't know if I will have the strength or conviction to pull this one off but I sure as heck have to try my best I would just rather go to sleep on Christmas Eve & wake up on the 27th, thank you so much for your wonderful journalism this past year you do an amazingly incredible job for us & i just want to say we all "The Chums" are truly grateful to you,

I can understand your not wanting to participate in Christmas activities and I feel your wish should be respected. There are many cultures, especially in the East where celebrations are curtailed when a death has occurred close to that date. I also lost my husband of 45 years last Christmas and I told my children I am not in the mood for any merry making. We will observe a quiet Christmas. Do tell your son and his wife you want to observe a low key Christmas. Find a church service you may be able to attend which are geared for people who have suffered a loss... we have then in our small town. They are called a Blue Christmas Service. Spend some time with your son who has invited you, if they will allow you some quiet time, when needed. They don't want you to feel alone, so thank them, but do what makes you feel good. May you find peace, and know that you will surely see your son in the after life. God Bless.

@TheSeedpearl I am going to my Son & Daughter in Law as I can be with them & my 3 beautiful Grandchildren, the cemetery where my Son is laid to rest is just 20 metres from my Son's home literally next door so I can walk to spend time with my late Son, as I am disabled & find walking extremely difficult it will make it easier to be with my 2 Son's on Christmas Day, I am not able to go to church as we live in a town in the Scottosh Borders so getting to a church is extremely difficult, I can say a quiet prayer at home, thank you for your kind words & can I say I feel your pain as I have been a widow for over 22 years, it was the anniversary of his passing in November so I understand what you are going through, I wish you a peaceful Christmas & a Happy New Year.. 💙 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 💙

Prince Andrew has and is still being judged by the MSM and they are influencing people's opinion of him. He has not been tried in a Court of Law by Judge and Jury of anything. My brother and I do a disappearing act at the Holidays. Sometimes we travel to join nontoxic family members. This year we have a city trip with shows and dinners. We are of the same age as the King and Queen. I don't know how they do it. All props to them!

When Charles was going through his divorce and his reputation was in shreds, Andrew had no scruples about undermining him and even suggesting he could take his place as future king. So much for ‘pulling together as a family’! Andrew has made his own mess, he’s now being scapegoated and kicked while he’s down but I can’t say I have any pity for him. I'm not a fan of Andrew, but he isn't as bad as harry. harry's no better when it comes to sexual scandals, plus he's shown hatred and pettiness; disloyalty to his country, the veterans and the UK citizens. He was a dishonorable soldier (joke) and a fake helicopter pilot. He wore his uniform knowing he was a liar, arrogant and a fraud. In all these ways, Andrew at least did these things honorably. Andrew's arrogant, but no more so than harry. Plus he isn't a drug user promoting illegal drugs as an option for mental health treatment. I could go on, but harry's as ba and way worse on many levels than Andrew. at least Andrew vowed his allegiance to the King, his brother. When harry wouldn't do the same, and it was his father.

How is Harry worse than Andrew. All of his misdemeanours are yet to be exposed. Harry and William experimented with drugs. I don’t think Harry has had sexual scandals any more than young men all over the world get up to when young. Propaganda can be ramped up to ruin anyone if it’s called for in higher circles. People’s reputations have been ruined when they are upstanding members of society but upset the money flow for big money people. Money and power it has always been.
