I’ve been watching this channel for a couple years and just wanted to see how far you’ve come in 6 yrs. I have a ranch in ND right above you and it’s struggling to keep running. My gpa died and left a lot of family troubles. We have 1 tractor and that 1 tractor is doing almost everything around the farm which we know is not good but we can’t afford to buy another tractor. We do cattle and have 39 and calving season is coming up so it should almost double. We are working with a section of land. We are trying to start up our own KZbin channel like you but we don’t have the stuff that we would like to start doing normal vids. Right now we are doing just random pics that my dad has in his phone and my phone. Anyways hope you have a good day/night whenever you read this.

When you were tilling down the field then circled and went across the field you came to a bit of water before you turned up the field and I thought oh Cole used to leave the water running in the earlier videos too, lol The quality of these early videos are great too, nice job Cole

Hi new to the channel love it so far you and your dad are great. Quick question about how you do oats? I am originally from Flint mi but do know a lot about agriculture always have had respect for farmers
@SonneFarms2 ай бұрын
Howdy, We don't raise oats much anymore, in this video we were doing it to cut for hay. So we broadcast spread the oat seed, and then disked it in. Worked decently. Thanks!

hello. and for what purpose do you do this tillage? I think you have water erosion caused by overtreatment.

how deep do you set the disk?
@SonneFarms5 жыл бұрын
3-4 inches, depending on if we are just trying to prepare the seedbed or trying to take care of weeds. Sometimes lighter when we are trying to cover oats with a thin layer of soil.

@@SonneFarms Thank you for this information. I thought I remembered that if they got in too deep, they would never see daylight.
@SonneFarms5 жыл бұрын
@@justincase2830 True, but I meant taking care of weeds that have already emerged and established a strong root system
