I/O error means your light is not blinking am I correct if yes that means your card/pendrive hardware is damaged give me more details

Try formatting using with Rufus if unable to format then use Linux tool gparted there is a option in Rufus for sector check it will show you if there is any sector damage try to regenerate damaged sector if unable to regenerate then skip the are where sector is damaged if a large part of sector is damaged then my friend throw then copy remaining file and throw the card away or keep doing research
