Nah, my biggest question is how on earth did the sculptor managed to pull off that effect because that statue is pretty cool to be honest. Least to me. Because she is a disney character. And disney characters are perceived as innocent, fun, and beautiful. However when you contort that image, you are also contorting the subliminal links within your mind. A lot of artwork is straightforward. But I like the kind of artwork that has more of a psychological aspect.

This is so fucking great! Shaking my head at all these comments on here nitpicking about who seems pretentious in this clip, how "novel" Banksy's statement is, blah blah... I don't know what enlightened, progressive bubble some of you guys live in, but where I live (which really is kind of a Midwestern Anytown, USA), the majority of people are blissfully unaware of how frighteningly far-gone our civilization is in its decline, and what a nightmarishly raped and ruined Eden we have made of this globe. And for me, knowing how oblivious most people are to the dismal state of things makes everything just that much more dismal. Maybe this stuff is taken for granted nowadays by some of us who actively look into and follow the current state of the world beyond what is told to us in the mainstream media, but most people *need* a shrill wake-up call and I say that this installation, or whatever you call it, is at the very least a good stab in that direction.

Surprising the boat piece with refugees hasn't been in the headlines, we should be more aware these things are actually happening. This park should be better publicized better, there is a strong message to be spread. It will cause outrage, i'm certain of it, a little controversy will do us no harm. We need to open our eyes to this harsh reality that many innocent people are suffering in. I agree that the media is "warped", couldn't have put it better myself.

They are warped and sadly most of the newspapers and the media are owned by the right, rich and powerful people who know that the real issues, the humanist issues, need to be hidden or dumbed down from us all otherwise the masses revolt.
