Damn, dude you killed that. Bass sang and guitar. Thats one of my favorite songs. Can't believe it's been over 30 fucking years, what a trip. That entire album still sounds like it could be brand knew. again, well done.

Have watched this several times now, sooooooo good. Gord never disappoints. Whenever he does something with vocals I'm always torn in what I like the most, the precise guitar work or the tough as fuck vocals.

Great cover! I grew up listening a lot to Dismember in the early/mid 90-s. IMHO, they’re at the top of the old Swedish death metal scene. Hopefully they release some new music now when they’ve reunited for a couple of gigs. Never tried that pedal but it sounds like the old hm-2 and you nailed that sound.
@GordOlson5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Me too, I grew up listening to 90's DM as well, and Dismember were a huge part of that! I'm also hoping for new material from them! This pedal, it can do the HM-2 sound perfectly, but it's a little more controlled and easier to use I find. Plus it will do some tones that the original HM-2 can't do. Awesome pedal!
@anders20775 жыл бұрын
@@GordOlson Thanks for the tip, I will look for it. HM-2 (MIJ) in good condition are getting a bit difficult to find and are often pretty expensive, at least here in Sweden. Boss should re-release that pedal.

@GordOlson3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I was trying to put some extra Matti into my voice for this cover, but yeah both of those guys are big influences for me. As for my "normal" voice it's hard to say lol. My normal voice in Darkened is more guttural, with basically no vocal chords involved at all, but in AngelBlast I sing in a similar voice to this, with vocal chord engagement. And in Ye Goat-Herd Gods I sort of bounce between those two styles. Thanks for watching, cheers!

Sounds cool but I couldnt possibly give my money to a guy who seems to be pretty nasty online. Plus youre paying 300$ for one sound
@GordOlson5 жыл бұрын
Cole Lewis Thanks man, and I get that, but let me say that in all my dealings with Joe, he has been nothing but super cool to me, and he even explained what was going on with that online stuff, and there's definitely a reason for it. Two sides to every story, for sure.. And besides all that, I personally don't really care if someone's personality isn't exactly aligned with my own... nobody's an angel! haha You're buying a great piece of gear, that's all! And actually, this pedal is much more versatile than the original HM-2, with the extra diodes and blending option, you can get more than the standard HM-2 tone. Even though that tone is utterly glorious! And a good quality MIJ HM-2 can go for almost that price in some places. There are other options out there, but personally, I'm super stoked on this pedal, and that's all that matters to me in the end. Cheers!
