The naming comes from people remember South African Civil Rights leader Nelson Mandela dying in prison, when in reality, he was released and became the first POC to become president of South Africa. Another popular Disney Mandela effect is from the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Do you remember the Evil Queen saying "Mirror Mirror on the wall. Who is the fairest of them all?" Or, "Magic Mirror on the wall. Who is the fairest one of all"? If you remember it being the first one, you're not alone, but it's also incorrect. If you go search the scene on KZbin, you'll find that the queen actually says "Magic Mirror on the wall. Who is the fairest one of all?" Hope this helps.
