Disney California Adventure - Route 66 at Cars Land!

Sounds like Disney needs to get their act together. My wife and I were thinking of road tripping to LA-area to take the kid to Cars Land, but I definitely would hate if we drove 12 hours out and 12 hours back just to constantly fight closures.

Definitely plan it out, I was there over Labor Day weekend so maybe bigger crowds caused more maintenance attention, but that’s a poor excuse… As someone who travels to theme parks and amusement parks across the country, for a park like Disney that has always been the epitome of what a theme park can be. I was shocked to see the number of rides closed throughout the day, especially on a key vacation weekend like Labor Day. A lot of families, friends, individuals travel long distances and spend a lot of money to come experience the Disney parks maybe once or a handful of times in their lifetime. So I will hold Disney to very high standards compared to other amusement parks to provide the magic.

I was going to say you could’ve just saved 8 days and just went there but it would take 9 days for them to get the rides up and running it looks like! 😂

Wow what a super frustrating day. I'm glad you finally got on lightning racers though, its a great ride. I still have 2 more route 66 videos to watch but it looks like it was a great trip and its on my bucket list for the future. Disney definitely needs to do better and set the standard for theme parks.

I've watched Disney KZbinr's videos and it's the same thing...many times the rides are shut down and they have to go back at a later time. It's just unacceptable, especially for the money Disney charges to get in. But I love that you pointed out all the things of Cars Land that were inspired by things on Route 66. I watched and enjoyed your Route 66 series. Love the outro song. Very pretty.

It’s been 20 years since i’ve been to a Disney park so just shocked how many rides were down throughout the day. Thanks, I’m glad an Elvis fan likes my outro song!
