Despite many store exclusives over the years, Mattel has never collaborated with Target on a themed die-cast, whereas they have with Walmart multiple times. Jim Scavenger crafted a metallic red custom Target Piston Cup racer to fill the void.

Awesome vid! I absolutely adore the shade of red used on this custom, it looks like a candy apple. The white rims are also a super nice touch - a lot of Target paint schemes in NASCAR used white rims, so it’s very fitting! Lovely custom all around.

I actually really love the TARGET Car and the raised eyelid’s, I personal wished they all were that way. I like how Jim even used a rubber tired Car it really separates it from all the other Cars.

Pretty sure the #02 was used because the Target corporation was officially founded in 1902 as Goodfellow Dry Goods even though the first actual Target stores didn't open until 1962, which is already taken by the Walmart car
