The mistake I've made is not checking on tastings that have gotten booked. Apparently spots can & do open and sometimes they'll accommodate an extra person

Very true. Sometimes you can just show up and get one also. Especially later in the cruise.

This was an awesome video! We're doing our second Disney cruise right away and you gave some helpful tips (especially traveling with 4 kids)! You mentioned saving money by booking cruises early, have you seen cruise prices increase as they get booked up?

Thank you, I am so glad it’s useful! The prices definitely increase. Especially for high demand times and ports. Making a refundable deposit on the 1st day it’s available for Silver will likely be the best price. There are some off-season cruises that will fluctuate depending on demand. I have heard that using an incognito browser when ready to book can help also.

If it were me, I would probably make the reservation on the cruise. You’ll save 10% for booking on board. When the next batch comes out, see which price etc.. you like better & you can transfer the funds if you want to change.

@@disneeds so we booked the 10% off on-board placeholder, but we didnt realize that you cant book an actual cruise at the same time. We are going to try your strategy of booking out very far in advance. Thanks again for your advice. The Disney Fantasy 7 day eastern Caribbean cruise was awesome!

Historically it has been 3 times a year in March or April, June or July, & September or October. the new ships and itineraries have meant one or two more thrown in at random over the past couple years.
