Thank you so much for this series! We sailed to Alaska on the Memorial Day sailing and we had the same dining rotation you had. This serious of videos brought back a lot of memories from last summer. We kept saying how amazing it was all day every day. My mom called it the trip of a lifetime multiple times. I really want to go back but probably won’t do it again on Disney because of the pricing. We stayed across the street from the port the Fairmont Waterfront and I got up early to watch the Wonder arrive then walked over to the port to get a good look at her and take a lot of pictures. It was amazing to be able to get so close to the ship before we boarded.

It depends on how far out you purchase. Concierge was going to be 10k. We waited and contemplated. Some time went by and the price went up to 16k after things started filling up. Although, it was a bigger room with 2 bathrooms, but I'm sure it must be because we waited too long.

I went on the Disney wonder cruise in September 2005. I definitely ate dinner at animators pallet on the cruise with my parents. The tiana place restaurant used to be parrot cat where I would eat breakfast on the cruise with my parents.

Your girl is going to kill you, LOL. There is nothing like an Alaskan cruise. I have been on many cruises, thank you to my family for all the cruises I’ve been on, there’s nothing like an Alaskan cruise! As far as I’m concerned I would bypass every cruise in the Caribbean to do a cruise in Alaska!!! Yes, the weather is completely different. Yes, you need to bring jackets and long sleeve shirts and jeans. However, you will never see the sites and the wildlife that you see on an Alaskan cruise. It is beyond beautiful! If you don’t live in an area that is anywhere close to there it is just beyond explanation of how amazing and beautiful it is! Not only the snowcapped mountains but being able to see whales, this particular time is whale season in Alaska, is astounding. It really gives you a new understanding and a new love for the ocean. It really allows you to see these magnificent animals and appreciate them more than you could ever before. You understand how important it is to protect these amazing creatures! It also makes you realize just how small you really are as a person. If you ever get a chance to take an Alaskan cruise do it! You will not be disappointed!

Thank you for raving about my beautiful corner of Canada, Beautiful British Columbia. The city you were passing in the twilight was probably Nanaimo or Campbell River on Vancouver Island. And we're having a particularly unusually cold wet summer. Last summer we had a heat dome and terrible forest fires so at least you have clear skies for the scenery! Enjoy Alaska... we did it a few years ago on a Holland America ship and hope to do it again in the future... and we're lucky enough not to have to fly in to get to the port. Sorry your Glacier Excursion was cancelled. We heard that there have been a lot of small icebergs floating around which could damage the ship. Maybe that is a reason for the cancellation?

Is that your first whale? The first is always great, but well...ok, all of them are great. They used to follow us in the Navy, it was very cool. My dad traveled a lot in the Army, Europe and Egypt - he was not impressed at all. Later, in his mid 60s his wife drug him on to an Alaskan cruise and he raved about for the rest of his life. He absolutely loved it. 😎
