I have never been on a Disney Cruise. Planning my first one for 2023. This video was amazing. I can wait to try some of these dishes and desserts. Thank you for sharing.

Michael I enjoy your videos very much. Been on 9 Disney Cruises, 10th scheduled in November. Would love see complete menus for the Fantasy. Also would love to see a review of Cabanas for Dinner. No KZbinr has done one yet. I hope you’re able to do this for a long time.

You really missed an opportunity to try what I consider a MUCH BETTER appetizer than the Black truffle pasta. On the "Animation Magic" menu which you referred to as the "tuna sashimi" menu, the Porcini Sacchetti is amazing. It is my fave appetizer and I usually special order it at least once during the cruise. Also, you stated at the end the "7 night cruises is where you will find the exact same menu over and over again"..... I HOPE you meant where you will find the menus that you featured. YOU NEVER GET THE SAME MENUS OVER AGAIN ON AN INDIVIDUAL CRUISE. On a 7 nighter, you will get the "signature" menu for each MDR and then usually another set of 3 (I will use the menu theme names rather than your appetizer naming system) like Capt Gala (lobster), Prince and Princess (salmon gravlax), and Animation Magic (tuna sashimi) in a second set of 3 rotation. The other night (not always the last night) will be some themed menu that is served in all 3 MDR at the same time like your Pirate night menu or a Star Wars or Marvel menu if it is one of the themed cruises. I find that a lot of people get confused when it comes to menus and rotations and worry about missing something based on their rotation. Disney has a very organized way of doing this and EVERYONE will get the same menus and show elements as long as they don't skip the MDR any night. The only difference in that 3rd night in one MDR is that you are sitting in a different ambiance...you don't ever get shortchanged on what menu choices you have or what show elements you see.

I've been waiting for this review since your first cruise and I can't wait to go back on the Disney Cruise and try everything. I think I really wanna try the chocolate lava cake.

Loved this video, wish I could “like” this 10 times. Very helpful. We will be on the Fantasy for our 8th cruise soon. Really looking forward to trying items you’ve highlighted which I’ve never had before. Great job on this video. 😋

I am a huge seafood lover and make sure to have at least one seafood dish each day on our Disney cruises! I also have smoked salmon for breakfast each day. Being from the Midwest, it is hard to find fresh seafood, and when you find it, it is pretty expensive.

Great video, Michael! I've got to book a DCL cruise just to try that bread pudding. 😋I had scallops and beef wellington for the first time on a Disney cruise and absolutely love both. I keep searching for restaurants that offer comparable scallops or Wellington, but no luck yet.

The best thing I had on the ship was the almond pastry from Palo brunch. The waitress brought us 2 extra and we smuggled them out. They are to die for!!

Going on our 25th Disney cruise next Saturday on the Fantasy, we sailed also last month on the Fantasy. I find the food going downhill to past years. Also find the food was better on the Magic. Tired of the same selections year after year.

Stunning that so many of these items you found less than great. For a cruise line that is twice to three times the price of direct competitors, food really have to be flawless. So many of these you mentioned as lacking flavor. Disney has put itself into direct controversy, so items really have to be flawless. Otherwise take competitive line at half the price.

Disney’s food really is better than what you will find on most cruise lines, especially something like Carnival brands, but some of the dishes can be hit or miss depending on your palette. The only dish I would say that is actually very bad is the escargot - most of the others really depend on your palette and if you appreciate strong fish flavours or complex flavours like Brie
@cxa3402 жыл бұрын
I agree on many of these dishes - the salmon tar tar is really excellent, it has a heavy smoked flavour that can be intense for some but if you enjoy smoked salmon it is a hit - the deep fried brie is buttery and rich, with a lighter brie flavour that is not as intense as some may want - yes the escargot is awful (and I actually like escargot very much), but it has no garlic flavour and is swimming in butter - for escargot it is not worth trying - the king salmon is good but typical of salmon can be dry especially in a mass serve setting like a cruise ship - I like the strawberry shortcake sundae, for a simple sundae it is fun and really enjoyable

Hi all just wanted to comment on these meals. I have just come off a 3 night cruise on the Disney dream ship and all of the restraints the meals were not good which has been shown they are dry and not fresh. Very disappointing

I've been on a liquid diet for five days and this video made me soooo hungry. I wonder how much the current distribution difficulties affect how the favorites on your list are prepared. I know citrus fruits, other fresh fruit and staples like sugar, milk and eggs are still playing catch-up with demand. It would be interesting to be able to speak to a DCL kitchen member for an insider look.

Did you have Covid? Surprising to say most foods didn’t have flavor?

I have been on almost 20 Disney cruises. I have eaten 8 black truffle pasta appetizers in one sitting. Yes, it’s that good. At Enchanted Garden I always get the Sea Bass and 3 Sticky Date puddings. Very good.

I know you _think_ you’re coming across as cute, but you’re actually sounding like a huge pig! Who eart 8 starters in one sitting? That is actually disgusting. 🤢

You must do a separate one for Remy and Palo Brunch. Remy just changed their menu in Feb 2022. It. Was. Mind-blowingly fantastic!!!! Palo brunch was too good. I cried a little. 😂 It is strange how some dishes are great and others are lackluster. As much as I love Disney, I can’t help but feel their not pushing the envelope on certain things beyond just food.
