Hello Everyone! It's Tom and Paul! We're The Blokes From Stoke! Sharing our love of Disney, Universal, Theme Parks, Travel, Florida and Home.
Welcome to our Disney Dream Mediterranean Cruise 2023 Vlog series!
It's Travel and Embarkation day!!!
We have a very early start at Bristol Airport and check in at the Jet2 self service kiosks just after 3 am. Then it's off to one of the lounges, so we'll show you all that and what we have. After that, it's time to board our plane to Girona.
Once we get to Girona, we've then got a bus trip for just over an hour which takes us to Barcelona. We'll show you how to get your ticket and how much it costs! When we get to Barcelona, we've then got to get ourselves to the port... so how do we do it? A jump on the metro and the cruise shuttle will take us to the Disney Dream!
After that it's all aboard and we prepare to Sail away! Join us as we find our state room, see Mickey Mouse and his pals, then we begin our new adventure for a full week on this amazing ship with some absolutely stunning locations on the way!

What a great travel day, you managed to do so much. Love your cabin and had to laugh at the third bed 😂 The food on Disney cruises is second to none 😋 When Tom said he didn’t like the desserts I was shouting “ask for a Mickey Bar”! We always had a Mickey bar after each meal and also had them delivered to the cabin. Some friends of mine were on the Dream at the same time as yourselves so I’ll be looking out for them on your Vlogs. Love, love, love your videos and can’t wait for Day 2. 🤗❤️🤗

A bit of a faff to get to the cruise port wasn’t it? The Dream is such a lovely ship! We usually request a private table for dinner but it’s nice that you got on with your table mates! 💕

We actually didn’t mind the trip from the airport as it gave us a chance to explore parts of the city we probably wouldn’t have seen, and now we know where we’re going if we return! Great travel days boys with great banter but what a long day the one comment we made was "how tired does Tom look and Paul looks like he has had a full 10 hours sleep" also another shock this week Paul not having bacon for breakfast but then bang bacon on the plane made us feel better. It’s like jumping on a bus on the short haul flights after travelling to Florida each year isn’t it ? tho wouldn’t enjoy the treck after to get to the port . Awww but loved the way Paul got so very exited boarding the ship , like a kid in a sweet shop ! You’re never to old to have fun ! I’ve been surprised by the Disney ships as they all look very dated to me , but I think that’s their vibe isn’t it ... to be classic . Food looks better than Royal tho , which is what we are used to . Enjoy and make many memories . Sending hugs 🤗

Thank you Jacqueline! Yeah The Disney ships have a more classical cruise feel than ultra modern but that’s part of the charm. We’re actually a little underwhelmed by some of the food on Disney but it’s tasty enough and well presented! What can we say about the big kid! Disney gives him all the feels every time and as Walt said… it’s for the young and young at heart… no point growing up too much!

Glad to see you got through Bristol Airport alright. I love staying at that Hampton the night before a flight as well! They offer a grab & go breakfast at 4 am, so def keep that in mind if you have a slightly later flight. And some of the airlines offer “twilight bag drop”, where you can check your bags in the night before an early morning flight, which can be very convenient if you happen to be staying at the airport already. ❤

Judging by the breakfast on the plane you should have had a bigger sausage in the lounge 😅. Those are our kind of travel days, go with the flow and work things out as you go. You could tell you were on dead posh boat as they served nibbles with the beer !! I have no idea what that towel animal was supposed to be 😂

You two cracked me up catching the bus, we are sailing out of Southampton in August and always use the valet parking there but when I tried to book it was full so I panicked what to do instead and my husband said see if we can get the bus. Princess do a bus on this cruise we can catch on the motorway service stop near us so we are now on the bus, first time my husband has been on the bus in about 20 years so it should be an experience.
