Edit…..after further research I’m learning that EpiPens in the USA cost btwn $650-$750 (without insurance). I’m shocked! That’s terribly expensive for a lifesaving drug :( In Canada they cost around $100 (if you don’t have insurance). You don’t need a prescription to buy one at our pharmacies either, so if you are someone who suffers from a serious food allergy and needs one, and you find yourself in Canada, buy them here! ❤️🇨🇦🙏 As someone who has had an extreme allergy to peanuts for over 30 years of my life I don’t understand how someone who has a food allergy, which can cause Anaphylaxis, does not carry an EpiPen with them at ALL times! My EpiPen has saved my life 2x now. I would 100% not be here without it! I feel for this girl and her poor family after this terrible loss. Please, if anyone is reading this who suffers from a serious food allergy, always have your EpiPen on you. Let this girl’s tragic story be the warning and reminder you need! 🙏

I’m a mother of two children with severe food allergies. And I am employed with health insurance. 2 EpiPens cost me around $8 in the U.S. But I do agree that paying hundreds of dollars for any medication in any country is completely ridiculous. The passing of this young lady is very sad, but I’ve seen nothing or heard any reports of her having a EpiPen administered. I have taught my children to never trust any food that is not prepared by your own hands or if you see it being prepared. My children keep EpiPens on them at all times.

This is so tragic. I never heard of her before now. She appears to be a beautiful light that was snuffed out too soon.😢
