Disney Epic Mickey is an action-adventure platforming game for the Wii console that sends Mickey Mouse on an epic journey of creativity and discovery. As Mickey, the player is propelled into Wasteland, an alternate world made up of Disney's forgotten creative efforts, and is given the power to wield paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world while determining Mickey's path to becoming an epic hero.

For Oswald to be such a revolutionary and important character for the Disney Company they rarely use him much besides some cameos in the new Mickey Mouse cartoons and a Tsum Tsum and a hat at Disney world that's about it

It’s actually very likely to happen and we are confirmed that playmagic is remaking an unannounced Disney third person action ip. The odds are even more in our favor because there was new merch that was sold a few months ago

1927= when oswald made his first appearance. 1928= Mickey steals the heart and respect oswald deserves... 2006= oswald comes back 2018= makes an appearance in mickey mouse short: canned. (Just a theory) I think they are making a new show for Oswald. *we will never forget u Oswald* 1927-2018....

Growing up I didn't care for Mickey at all, but after getting this game back then I just wanted a fun game to play but instead I found Oswald. As soon as I saw him enter the scene I imediatly got attached. I thought he was just a new character but years later I found him and instatly fell in love with the character. It was amazing just with the history alone. Lol I'm such a fan every time a family member goes to Disney World they just send me Oswald stuff. I have a Oswald Jacket, 2 pins, and a lanyard. Live each and every one lol.

After Oswald returned, sometimes I wonder what role Oswald could have been in the Tv World, Kingdom Hearts, the House of Mouse, etc. It makes me feel sad knowing that so many know Mickey and not Oswald. I am glad they reintroduced the long lost rabbit back to the scene.

This is just incredible. Now knowing the story of Oswald and seeing him in the game...gosh..my heart dropped. I never get emotional over cartoons and games...but man this story brought me to tears. (Yes I'm a cry baby but damn it this really hit me) This is wonderful they brought Oswald into the game. You learn so much about the history of Disney the characters created. I am definitely buying the game. So worth it.

Let's all take a moment of silence for Walt Disney. He worked himself to exhaustion making these two amazing characters. Sure, Oswald rose and fell, and he's quite clearly overshadowed by his brother Mickey. It will be a long time before he becomes an equal in terms of popularity, but I don't think that matters to them. Their brotherly bond will always endure.

2:24 That's a gross oversimplification. Universal kept using him, and the rabbit starred in over 190 cartoons. He had a life in comics for over two decades, and Walter Lantz kept using him in merchandise and publicity images alongside his own characters. Furthermore, the rights to Oswald were owned by Universal from the very beginning. He was not stolen from Disney.

@Retributor16: I wouldn't be shocked, since MIckey IS Walt ("Remember, you just filling in for the boss" ~ Jimmy MacDonald [second Mickey] to Wayne Allwine [third Mickey]), Minnie is--obviously--Lillian, and Oswarld then, would be other brother Roy Disney Senior. Funny that Ub Iwerks, one of Walt's staunchest allies, sided with the distributor for more money and ended up CREATING Warner Brothers (Bosko essentially WAS a re-imagined Oswald and Bugs Bunny then, became what Mickey also became).

Derp Gaming Yeah. Originally Walt Disney created Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and when Walt Disney basically lost the rights to Oswald he with Ub Iwerks who co created Oswald the Lucky Rabbit along with Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse as a replacement for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and this time they owned the rights to the character. I can pretty much imagine that they were pretty upset about losing Oswald the Lucky Rabbit along with the cartoons that Oswald was in but luckily he's back home where he belongs.
