We are doing this same cruise this November and I appreciate the honesty about the ports of call. We've been on the Wish and Magic so we are very much looking forward to spending 7 days on the Fantasy. And I love your sarcasm, you and my wife could be related, except we aren't British. 🙂

great video love the accent..we americans do things different i know..who says motorcoach..if we have late flight like 5pm can we get late bfast time we have early dining each nite..i heard had to do early bfast on disembark day..i hope not may have to go to cabanas really try to avoid the buffet ..its people soup

thanks! Well our driver said motorcoach XD Cabanas is available on debarkation day from 6:30am until 3pm i believe, but you are asked to be off the ship by about 9am. You need to be out of your stateroom by 8am. This gives staff plent of time to clean all the staterooms by the time the next cruise starts boarding a couple hours later.

We are Gold members with DCL. We adore the Wonder and Magic and tend to stick with these smaller ships. We sail for the first time on the Fantasy on Saturday for a week long cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. We took a member cruise on the Dream in 2014 and were not overly impressed (very noisy in dining room (2nd seating) and too many people. It was a shock to my system. I’m better prepared now for the larger ship. This is our 30th wedding anniversary cruise so we are looking forward to a relaxing and enjoying ourselves.

Are the smaller ships less crowded then? I've not had the pleasure of doing the smaller or newer ships next. Though I was looking at booking either the magic or wish next! And happy anniversary :)

My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last year on the Disney Fantasy, which is my favorite ship, not only in the Disney fleet, but my favorite of all the cruise lines that we've tried, such as Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Celebrity and MSC (which I don't recommend.....don't get me started). Our special occasion on the Fantasy was spectacular, to say the least. It was our fourth sailing on her, and although the service is always exemplary on Disney Cruise Line, when the cast and crew were informed that we were celebrating a very special anniversary, we were treated like royalty. It made our milestone anniversary very special indeed.

This is great! We r sailing in May! - Jamaica - I heard it was sketchy, was trying to decide if we should do an excursion or not or just stay on ship …. Thoughts?

Ye it was sketchy once you left the port. But the port itself was nice. So I’d recommend at least popping down and having a look in there. While I didn’t do an excursion myself, we were sat with some other people for dinner who both did excursions and they said they very much enjoyed them. So if there’s something that tickles your fancy, I’d say go for it

We booked our cruise directly with the Disney cruise line and we booked WDW direct as well. You have the option to book transfers between the two with them as well.

We’re booked on the Fantasy for 2025. Loved the video. Did you use Preludes? Is there anywhere to see what items from there or the fancy coffees/drinks cost? Will be our first ever cruise so have no idea currently, and as we normally do a Disneyland Paris holiday every year, we do like to prepare and plan.

Thank you! You'll enjoy it for sure! Both the Fantasy and Dream are fantastic! We did our first cruise a couple years ago, and got instantly hooked! There's plenty to do, to the point where you just wont have time to do it all! Preludes is the shop near the Theatre I believe? If so, unfortunately I don't have a photo of the price guides, but you can expect the prices to be standard for Disney. But they do have plenty of options, from coffees to cocktails, to candy bars and popcorn buckets. And the popcorn buckets behave the same as at the parks, with cheap refills!

Not at all When you're inside the ship it's a fairly pleasant temperature, just be prepared it can get pretty chilly up on deck, especially on the evenings! (Depending on where you're sailing ofcourse, and what time of year!)

The painted ship was in Cozumel, Mexico. As you leave the port, turn left and follow the sea front and it’s not too far along the coast (within walking distance)
