Poor Magic! I remember being on it in 2002 and getting into a horn battle with a Holland America liner. At the time the ‘When you wish upon a star’ was such a cool novelty and the Magic blasted it proudly while the Holland America tried to keep up. Bern all the Disney ships have actual horns (there’s video of them using their horns in a Magic vs Dream video in Castaway Cay) but you are correct that as far as the songs go the larger ships use speakers.

It would have been hilarious if the Magic had finished up with a simple “meep”. The Magic was Disney’s first ship. She and the Wonder only have that song, while the Dream and Fantasy came along years later and got an upgraded playlist. Odd we don’t hear them play the Star Wars song. I’ve heard them play it before.

Its actually a custom blue, they were going for the classic ocean liner look but black paint is more heavier which would cost more $$$$ on fuel.

The fantasy is the third ship built, while the dream is the newest ship, and they decided to give it more Disney songs, while all the other ships, including the magic (first built), the wonder (second built), and the fantasy (third built) just have the one tune. All the ships are fun and will have a great experience to enjoy. I myself have been on the Wonder twice and will be going on another cruise next year on one of the newer ships. I believe Disney is the best way to go when going on a cruise. These Cruises are the time of your life!

Actually the magic is older, but keeping in mind it just got "re imagined " in put into dry dock back in 2013, then goes the Disney wonder which came out in 1999 the Disney Dream 2011 and Disney fantasy 2012.

We went on the Fantasy April 7 for 7 days in the Western Caribbean. We didn't encounter another Disney ship, therefore never heard the entire horn tune list, not even in Castaway Cay. Rats! (We ate at Remy's, too) Guess we'll have to go again and again until we hear them all. Have been on the Magic & Fantasy...both unique. Fantasy is an engineering marvel for all ages.
