Disney Fantasy Cruise Day 3! | Cozumel Mexico Beach Break, Animator's Palate Dinner & New DCL Merch!

Today's vlog is day 3 of our Disney Fantasy Cruise! We had our first port day in Cozumel, Mexico where we experienced the Cozumel Beach Break excursion. We had 4 hours at the all inclusive resort where we played in the ocean, went down the water slide and Jackson loved the kiddie splash pool with slides for little ones. Lunch and drinks were included, including beer, wine and mixed drinks. Then after a fun afternoon we headed back to the ship and hung out for a bit before dinner. We had dinner at Animator's Palate, which is always good! After dinner we checked out some of the new merch aboard the ship and then we watched some tv and learned about how the ship's engine room works. Excursions like that make a cruise even more exciting. A lot of the cruise excursions are still resort/tourist friendly, but they allow you to see parts of the destination you wouldn’t get to see just being on the boat. It looked like such a fun day

I appreciate how you point out the little things we might not think about - like the umbrellas at Cozumel and tipping for them. Was there a charge to take Tim’s mom on the bike from the dock to the bus? Always interesting in how these extra things work for those with limited mobility.

When I was about 9ish, my dad took my sister and me on our first cruise to Cozumel and while we were on shore exploring, we each got a pair of maracas. As soon as we got back to our room on the ship, both of my sister's maracas fell apart. So as any good sister would do, I gave her one of mine and we created a song about how her maracas broke. It's been over 20 years since then and it's tradition now, every time either of us goes to Mexico or Central/South America and we see maracas, we get a pair and give one to one another. Seeing the basket of maracas at the gift shop brought back so many great memories

Oh you guys passed by the welcome to Miami bar! They literally have the best mojito EVER! I’m not kidding or being extra. We went on the “country” beach side of Cozumel on a keep tour & we stopped at the bar & they made it fresh in front of us. Man it was so delicious!

In Cozumel, I highly recommend going to Mr. Sanchos, the food and drinks are amazing, and two pools and servers go around to get your orders, the only downside is there is no splash pad for Jackson. I also got a massage there in 2018 after a panic attack and it felt like I was walking on air. just something to keep in the back of your mind.

Love it! Glad you all had a great day! Once you can go offshore in Cozumel without the "bubble", go to Paradise Beach Club, the food is amazing, great pool and beach area. Service is amazing, a fun family place.

Did the same cruise on the same ship. Next time when Jackson is a little older to the cave exploration which should be a more enjoyable experience. Water in the cave is a cooling 74 degs and and it truly is stunning.

I did the Beach Break excursion in Cozumel around 15 years ago… it looked 100% different. It was just a beach, with a bar, some of those water trampolines, and a few small shops. It was soooooo relaxing. The best day of our cruise for sure!

I remember doing a water obstacle course like that in costa maya and myyyyyy goodness it was so difficult!! I fell off twice and it took forever to try and get back on the floats! And I was scared like you Jenn! It was a lot scarier out there than you’d think!

Going on my first Disney Cruise in July and joined a Facebook group for our cruise, I’d highly recommend anyone who has never done a Disney Cruise or a cruise in general to do so. Everyone in our group has given loads of great advice and tips, about cruising with Disney.

Last time we went to Cozumel we did a full day Jeep 4 x 4 off road excursion. It included snorkeling, private beach lunch buffet and your own Jeep for an off road tour. We were in a convoy following the tour guide throughout the island. It was very scenic. We stopped at a roadside gift shop and a local bar. Then they took us to an area for snorkeling, off roading, then a private beach lagoon area for lunch. They setup a thatch umbrellas and Mexican blankets for each group on the beach where we could hang out, swim (the lagoon made it safer to swim) and eat. It was awesome and reasonably price. We had our nieces and nephews who were not much older than Jackson and they loved it.

That merch! We head back on the Fantasy in September and I can’t wait for it. We had to cancel a couple cruises for obvious reasons. I saw Jen’s gold lanyard and I am jealous! This cruise should have put us into gold status. But we’ll still be silver after this cruise. Ah well! Love the videos.

When I was 10, I got chosen from all the Idaho cancer children to go on a cruise in search of Santa. We went to Cozumel, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and the Grand Cayman Islands. We got to visit several schools and do other activities.

Next time you visit Cozumel, try to see if the ship offers an excursion with the Atlantis Submarine(or just go on your own). We were just there in January & it was a highlight of our trip for sure, especially since snorkeling was so murky. You get to see fish, the reef, & a real shipwreck! We also did the chocolate making & chocolate margarita classes at the Mayan Cacao Co where your beach club was and had a lot of fun!

If you guys go on a vacation to Mexico, non-cruise, I’d recommend going to Moon Palace Cancún. The resort is an upscale, casual, place of all marble and is a 4 Diamond rated resort. The resort is all-inclusive and split up into 3 different sections: Sunrise, Nizuc, The Grand. The best side to stay at is The Grand. The food is incredibly amazing and service is great! The resort is a couple miles from the Cancún International Airport and it is a quick drive, private shuttle services are available to use that go to and from the Moon Palace and the airport! I’d definitely recommend going. The resort is huge and has golf-cart transportation. I’ve went 4 times and no place compares! Me and my family usually do 7-9 days. There are entertainment shows every single night! Some restaurants you need to dress formal, but most you can dress casual

My first cruise was this past March. Went on royal Caribbean and there was DCL there, only knew that because other passengers assumed I was with Disney because I had my 50th anniversary Disney bag with me 😄. But the Costa Playa? It didn't seem as interesting to me and you guys didn't seem to enjoy it as much. Fun but not just it. Guess I made a good choice. But! We did rent a car to go the free beaches to eat shrimp quesadillas, totally worth it.

I live in Canada but when I was 19 I choose to move to Mexico for 3-4months. I applied for a work visa (was approved) and was at that same island! I worked at the beach clubs and I served all the Disney crew ship people and the tourists who spoke English only. It was super fun, I have an itch to do it again.

We did the Eco Beach and Mayan Ruins excursion and the snorkeling was great. The reefs at cozumel are all young and little because a past hurricane decimated the adult reefs, however there was one young one that went the entire length of the beach. We saw lobsters, sea cucumbers, a ray, a sea star, and tons of different kinds of fish as well as a big sea tortoise. It was the best snorkeling I have ever experienced.

We did the Castaway Cay snorkeling excursion, and it was great! They took us about a mile out, and the water was crystal clear, the fish were plentiful, and as it was an ADULT excursion, there was Bahamian rum, and beer - as well as soft drinks. We had a great time!
