Perfect timing. I finally figured out genie plus. Decided I’m going to use it for me and my mom on Monday. Now all I need to do is figure out my strategy of picking the longest waits after my first choice or picking the shortest wait times. Ugh. I’m picking jungle cruise at 7am and may decide to give up on Peter Pan since it’s another long one and just go shorter wait times since we’re only there one day. I do hate the thought of being in my phone all day but I don’t have a choice if we want to get anything done on a very crowded day. Thx for this video.

🥰thank you for watching! I hope you get to ride everything you want and get lots of use out of the Genie+! 😏 small tip thought. Park closes at 11 on Monday. If you can after the fireworks show ride it then. The closer to park closing the better. Don’t let the end of the night wait times scare you off either. About 30 minutes prior to park closing is best. And that goes for any popular ride. 🤗

Thanks for the tips! So does the 120 minute wait rule apply each time you select a lightening lane? Or can you select another lightening lane if you have used your first one within 120 minutes. So for example if you book a ride for 9am can you select another ride once you have finished on the first ride? And then immediately select another ride once you have ridden your next reservation and so on? Or is it always 120 minutes. Thank you!

Ok to answer your question: if you are able to book your LL closer together and ride one after another then yes as soon as you scan in to your second touchpoint in each ride you can book your next LL. (Once you scan you can book. You do not fully have to ride the ride to noon the next LL) where the 120 minute rule comes in is when you book a LL that is hours away and later in the day. That help?

Sorta 🥴 The viewing area is in the Hub and if you don’t get there to check in as soon as your window opens you could still be rows back behind other guests. If you are wanting to ride as much as you can in MK (in my opinion) I wouldn’t use a genie+ on the parade. But if you only want to ride a few things and have room to play with openings on genie+ then I suggest being there in line waiting for your time to check in.

I do understand your explanation, but whatabout this scenario. I book slinky at 4:00 pm at 7:00 am. 120 min later at 9:00 am, I book something to ride at 10 am let said peter pan ( Im gonna do hopper) When I ride peter pan do I have to wait 120 min because I got Slinky in reservation or I can book another one because I all ready ride Peter pan. Individual LL have to wait 120 min of the reservation of genie + or it’s completely apart. Thanks and nice video

So for your scenario that you gave me because you already waited your 120 minutes after slinky that LL is considered “already done”. Since you got Peter so close once you scan in you will be able to select another LL. (If Peter was after 11 am that is when you would have needed to wait another 120 minutes) make sense? 🤗

Yes you can 🤗. The only thing you need to look out for when selecting your LL’s for the 2nd park are the return times. Since you cannot hop until 2pm the return times need to be after 2 pm.

Oh that makes me happy! It means im explaining it well 🤗. To answer your question no unfortunately not. Park hopping does not start until 2 pm. So you will not be able to schedule LL for your second park until after 2 pm. Also keep in mind the parks are not close together. You need to account for about 30/45 minutes of travel time depending on the park you are going to and the kind of transportation you are using.

Good video, but I have a question. How Genie Plus work with park hopper? If my first park is AK, and plan to go to MK in the evening. When would I be able to use my Genie Plus for the second park? How would the 120 minutes rule count in this situation? Can I book a LL for a ride in AK at 7:00am, and then book a LL at MK 7:00 am as well? Does the 120 minutes rule count separately at each park?

🥰thank you for watching! For park hopping there isn’t a separation per park. You will only be able to pick 1 LL choice at 7 am. When park hopping The main thing to pay attention to as you are choosing your LL selections is your return time. When picking your rides for your second park the return times need to be after 2 pm (that is when park hopping begins). You will know what the return times are because it will say it in the app under each genie+ selection. That help?

Unfortunately with all the hype about the Genie+ that is the feeling from most guests. Genie+ will make your Animal Kingdom & Epcot day more relaxing so take advantage of that. Do you have to wait 120minutes from when you booked it or 120 minutes from when the park opens? For example Epcot opens at 10am so if I book at 7am can I book at 9am or at noon? What about early opening ? Is that considered park opening or is it the published time for non resort guests?

If you make a LL selection and it is later in the day then the 120 minute rule starts at official park opening. To answer your example question you would be able to book at noon 😊.

🥰thank you for watching! Yes, you can purchase Disney Genie+ daily & use it for 1 day. Yes, you may pick and choose who you want to have the service for that day. Yes, you may begin making your selections when the park opens. I will warn you though waiting until the park opens to make your selections will be hard at Hollywood Studios since most rides are very popular and may get unavailability quickly.

....jeez... i'm going in Sept 22, Spending a FORTUNE bringing my family from England we will be doing the full lot (disc cove/ ksc/ Universal + Disney) I need to get the max from the holiday (costing £13500..up to yet) so i feel 'forced into Genie + etc...And i need a smartphone (dont own one) i think this is all wrong..............why cant they SELL fastpasses if thats the way they need to go..seems sooo hard this genie + .............or am i thick?

Oh man what a vacation you have planned!! I am sorry you feel forced to get the Genie+ but I promise it isn't the end all if you do not have it. You will just need to strategize a bit more rather than relying on technology. If I may, having a smart phone at Disney AND Universal is going to be a lifesaver. Both park apps have so many tools to help you while in the parks. If you are unable to have one there are signs throughout both parks letting you know wait times, there are pamphlets with maps, and you will need to talk with separate cast members to order food (especially in Disney) at quick service locations. Yes unfortunately, Individual Lightning Lanes can (and often do) sell out to on-site guests first. It is one of the perks to staying on-site…getting a chance to purchase your ILL at 7 am.

Hello! Love your videos! Please, I just want to make sure I understand: as for the 120 minute rule, does it apply to both Lightning Lane selections *and* Individual Lightning Lane selections? For example, at Hollywood studios, can I book the individual Lightning lane for Rise of the resistance AND Mickey and Minnie’s railway runaway at the same time since one is an individual and the other is not? Thank you 🥰. So for Individual Lightning Laness those work differently. You do not need to wait 120 minutes for those. You can book both a Disney Genie+ LL and an ILL back to back. The 120 minute rule only applies to Disney Genie+ rides. ✨😊✨
