Kyle that drill has a slow speed for screwdriver work, it’s on top, the 1 and 2. 1 is the slower speed. If you use the 2 when screws ring you can strip the screw head sometimes.

I just don't understand why Disney is making park/ride reservations so complicated and expensive at the same time. It's supposed to be the most magical place on earth, not the most complicated and stressful. I hope they come up with a better process soon. If a person like you felt stressed when your brother and family visited, imagine how the average person would feel.

I am a long time annual pass holder. We buy them for our grandkids too so we can take them but it’s become so confusing. I am pretty comfortable with tech stuff but Disney has really made it more & more difficult. I go a lot less and all that money I spent on my grandkids there lot less too. Disney is looking for the rare visitor that will spend thousands in one visit. This year we are dividing our fun trip with grands over at Universal then end with few days at Disney.

I will not go back to Disney till they get rid of that damreservation policy, used to buy our tickets in advance & go which ever park we wanted .Now if wewant to go to Disney on a Monday but no reservations available we cant go totaly sucks for planning your vacay in advance !! Kyle, yes you are experienced with the parks but I wouldn’t call you experienced with genie+. You use it infrequently. Genie+ is complicated but you don’t have to spend time constantly in the phone. Like everything with Disney, you have to research and learn how to use it. I’ve watched Molly’s instructional videos over and over and my first experience with genie+ went smoothly.

Don't you think they need to make genie plus easier? I admit, I lose my patience with it. I've decided to only buy the individual lightning lanes to avoid the genie plus. Then if there's really long lines, I just skip. But I can do that because I am fortunate to visit the parks once a year. :)

I actually don’t mind Genie + I try to go to Disney at least once a year, so for me to get the most out of my time spent, Genie + is super helpful. Since you live locally, I understand why you think like you do, but I haven’t felt trapped in my phone. I try to use Genie and wait in lines to maximize my day. You mentioned you used to get up early when you visited while growing up, remember those of us coming in for vacation may still feel that same way. I hope they don’t go back to choosing lightening lanes before your trip, because honestly, when fast pass plus was an option, it was really hard to get some of the more popular rides because they were already used up. I think everyone should have a fair chance to get lightning lanes! BTW - I watch everyday! Keep doing what you do! Love my daily dose! 😊

Interesting. We have never had a problem with Genie+. Cannot understand the complaints. I do understand people not getting what they want, when they want it. As for getting up early…we are old, we always get up early.

It has definitely started to feel like it's work more so than a vacation with having to get up so early to do G+ and LL selections. Bring back the old FastPass system with updates to work better. Keep the LL if they need the extra money stream, but at least let us get 3 rides reserved like we used to.

It's an added service. You can have a great day without it. Disney let's you bring food in also, so you really don't ever have to buy Disney food

I never had a problem with fast pass. For out of staters it was awesome to reserve our rides days in advance. Then it was easier to coordinate dinners and shows

I hated Disney world fast passes compared to Disneyland. I didn’t like having to get up early in the morning 2 months before my vacation and book out my day. Then knowing that deluxe resorts got to go a week or so earlier than me. Max passes were the pinnacle of the fast pass system at Disneyland. I could do my favorite ride over and over again. Either way I think universal has it best. If you’re willing to pay double your ticket price to express then so be it. The average customer won’t.

The frustration lies in the experience- you pay big $ for tickets, especially for those who don’t come often you’re then dealing with being in your phone constantly to get the most for your $. Can you get a lot from the system? Most days, yes. But you have to WORK for it 😫

If I was on a limited vacation (or if I have guests), I would lean towards buying Genie + due to the limited time in the park. I do wish they went back to the old (free) Fast Pass system.

Probably in the minority here but I really enjoyed using Genie+! I was anticipating being on my phone a lot trying to secure lightning lanes but it wasn’t bad at all. Not sure if the week I went was not as busy (it was during the summer) but I was able to go on all the rides I wanted without worrying about not getting a lightning lane. It definitely was frustrating having to pay extra but we were lucky to go when Genie+ prices started to vary by park. I found the prices reasonable compared to Universal Studios where it’s almost $80 for the fast pass. We didn’t even bother getting it because our park ticket at Universal was so expensive that weekend ($139 per person) so we had to deal with long wait times. Different experiences for everyone but we were thankful to have a positive experience with it!

I think they should just have it one set price, not per ride.. like, you get fast pass for a certain amount of rides a day.. say 4-5 and this is the price. Some rides being more than others is just annoying and then having to pick rides in advance is just annoying. I just wanna walk and be like “Oh this lines long, let’s use one on this!” And be able to do so. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would not buy Genie+. To ask families who buy tickets for hundreds of dollars only to ask for more money just to be able to get ahead in line is very greedy! To have to check your phone constantly during your day at the parks is nuts! How can anyone be in the moment and be able to enjoy their experience. Bring back fast passes!!!

My family loves Genie+, but we love it even more with Standby Skipper😊 No more scrambling at 7 to get the attraction my kids want. Set it at midnight and forget it.

I agree Genie Plus is a pain to wake up before 7 am for selections on vacations and can mess with dining reservations. Maybe that’s why they changed to 2 hours prior cancelling dining as 24 hours was difficult as you didn’t know how your day would go especially if have 😂a virtual que. Lots of negatives to Disney genie I feel it would be very hard for someone new trying to manage that.

I love the convenience of it especially when you are not able to go all the time. However I don’t like how it takes the magic away from your day bc you are basically glued to your phone making LL selections or food selections. If they allowed to choose things prior it would help.

I like the thought of the 2 tier system. If not staying a deluxe resort have to do the booking for a time costing at least $150 per person. If staying at a deluxe resort you can just walk through the lighting lane not needing to book a time.

I love getting Disney News! I think in some ways we need to give Iger some time fix the issues Chapek created. It sucks, but this is the first time he has been in charge for the crazy Spring Break crowd since the inception of Genie+. The Parks are the bread and butter of Disney, so I think he will make changes, but I think we need to give him some time. I would love to see him bring back regular FastPasses (with limited capacity) and then have Genie+ as well. Like California used to have with MaxPass. I don't know if that is possible at WDW with it being as big as it is.

Honestly, we have not been disappointed in Genie plus and we enjoy the parks every few months! (Not saying that we couldn’t have issues in the future!) It is worth every penny to us! Scheduling rides should not be a thing period. It should be like the Universal Studios model where you pay a premium to either have unlimited access to the fast lane or a once per ride access. No scheduling, no checking times, no stacking. You get on what you want when you want. Disneyland Paris also has this model and it was so refreshing

Honestly, Genie+ should work similar to express when you buy it you get access to Lightning Lane where you can skip the line. I can totally understand having upcharges for Tron, GOTG, or Seven Dwarves but rides like Mad Tea Party, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder, or Expedition Everest should come with Genie+ IMO

I personally love Genie plus. Other than the price that is. As a family of 3, on a fairly busy day, we rode 14-16 rides in MK, and was able to sit down to eat, have plenty of time to snack and walk around. And we weren't even there from rope drop to close. We watched a bunch of videos on it, and it really went smoothly for us. We didn't have any issues and were there over a week.

Honestly. I say two options.. basic and you gotta be searching for times or premium where you just pull up to where ever whenever and go in without choosing times. That would also be a great add on for annual pass holders preferably included in the AP.

Genie+ was enjoyable to use when we were there for 3 of the 4 parks in late January. Hollywood Studios needs work since there is limited rides and they are all high demand. We were very disappointed during our Hollywood Studios day. Yes we waited in line for some of them but they were long waits, which really cuts into your day. We actually had the best experience with Magic Kingdom but I think that's due to the amount of rides available.

I have a feeling they might get rid of genie plus in the future and do what they do in Paris, you can either choose to get the premiere access for around 180 euros and just walk on the attractions once per day (similar to the regular express at Universal) or purchase individual lighting lanes fluctuating between 9 and 18 euros per ride. Honestly I don’t think genie plus is that bad, both of the times I went it was 25 for all 4 parks and I was able to ride at least 4 attractions per day. Not too bad IMO.

I don't ever use it. I will rope drop and ride all I can. I'm not there for the rides. I enjoy the atmosphere and other experiences. I am an annual pass holder and visit a lot. If I was only there for a once a year trip I would get it.

Kyle really! You think that they should raise the price. While I understand where you are coming business wise, but for $25+ per person it should be a friendlier system. By raising the price you are adding more stress and adding complexity with some of your thoughts in changes. I agree that it needs to be better. It's lazy to just charge more. And I would agree to charge more if they reinvested in the parks.

I wish they would get rid of LL and just have a paid Genie+ option that can be bought at the time of ticket purchase for a discount. Then allow those staying onsite 30 days in advance booking for up to 3 attractions. Combining the old fast pass system with the new Genie+ system.

It would be worth buying Genie Plus if you have little kids so you didn’t have to wait as long, but if I’m going with one or two others, maybe sneak into single rider lines for the rides that are longer waits if everyone your with is ok with that!
