Mary Poppins, really? I'm 48 and I still remember every word to the chimney sweep song as well as "A Spoon Full of Sugar". I had no idea what a "hotntot" was and I didn't care. That movie was one of the few things that could shut me and my sisters up for a couple of hours and actually bring us together as a family. It’s just not possible jbabrick. Cruise does all his own stunts and delivered over 2 plus hours of non-stop death defying stunts and action, even shooting quasi-commercials before Mission Impossible came out where he’s speaking to the audience in mid air skydiving to get pumped up for the film. Yet, Hollywood wants us all to believe that Zegler who ran around a forest and dodged CGI arrows, spears and snakes on a sound stage won. In my opinion it was bought. I was there for the opening of Disneyland and was hooked on the whole family first and children matter theme that went with it. I raised my children and introduced my grandchildren to the wonders of the limitless possibilities of imagination. I grew up with Disney. We had to go to the theater for the initial showing, then chase it on TV networks when Disney was magnanimous enough to put their films on there. Usually, after the initial showing later in the 70s and 80s, they would sell a limited number of VHS tapes then “lock them up in the vault” for a number of years. We accepted this treatment. But no more. Their glory days are over. I won’t spend a penny on anything Disney again, and I live less than 70 miles from Walt Disney World.

I used to know a guy whose Aunt worked for Disney back in the day of Walt! So complete turn a round, its sickening!! You couldn't give me a ticket to go see one of their movies nowadays, let alone take one of my grandsons. Talk about sick in the head! Are there no Disney representatives left in the world? Don't they have a say in how their namesake is portrayed on the screens anymore? All of their magic is gone gone gone!
