Same! We are huge fans of the idea of playing coop as well. I think because this new set is called “Illumineer’s Quest”, it makes us believe that there will be different quests (not just Deep Trouble) per new set releases. Can’t wait to find out more and try it out.
@KrisPBaconnn9 ай бұрын
@@InkbornHeroessince this is the first chapter’s final set, I assume they will only do one illumineers quest at the end of each chapter. (With set 5 being the beginning of the second chapter, I assume set 8 will be the next time we see the Quest.)
@InkbornHeroes9 ай бұрын
@@KrisPBaconnn Hey there! Thanks for the comment. This is definitely a good assumption (if Ravensburger indeed treats every 4 sets as a chapter). As far as I know, this format of treating combination of sets as a Chapter hasn't been confirmed at all. All we know so far, is that SET 1 was called "The First Chapter". This doesn't necessarily indicates a chapter format though, but just a name. Not to say that this won't be the case. It is very likely that they will follow what other TCG game does. All I am saying is that so far all we can do is give assumptions.
@thepraysident44239 ай бұрын
I really am looking forward to what ravensburger will do with the Coop mode going forward. Will there be an “Expansion” every Set, or will there even be a new Version of the Game every Set? The latter would be off putting for the audience it’s supposed to reach I think.
@InkbornHeroes9 ай бұрын
We have a feeling that there will be new “Quests” for each new set. But still following the coop formula. Fingers crossed this is successful. We shall see it soon! ^^

Can you use the pre built decks in the coop box to play regular pvp lorcana?
@InkbornHeroes7 ай бұрын
Yes, you sure can. 😊 The only cards/deck you can’t ever use outside of Deep Trouble, are Ursula’s card with the golden backing.
@Piccolo138 ай бұрын
I'm excited for co-op but is it just me or does $49.99 seem a bit steep for the Illumineer's Quest box, since you basically are just paying for 3 pre-made decks?
@InkbornHeroes8 ай бұрын
To be fair, in my opinion, for the amount of stuff you get in the Illumineer’s Quest, I feel that there’s so much more value than what you’d get in the “regular” gift sets. And they are both pretty much the same cost.

I don’t own any of the cards yet but I’m absolutely going to start my collection. I’m bummed it’s basically impossible to find The First Chapter cheap, and Rise of the Floodborn isn’t exactly cheap either. But better late than never. Going to start with Inklands and then get what I can afford of Ursula’s Return.
@InkbornHeroes9 ай бұрын
Hey Brandon. I am sorry to hear that its been hard to find some of these products, but I think you have a good plan: start with inklands, grab some Ursula's Return and then try working backwards from there, any opportunity you find for TFC and ROTF. Some information online makes it sound that there will be at least another 4 reprints of TFC throughout the year. Fingers crossed thats the case. Good luck, and enjoy the game.

I have a few questions. 1. Where will the deep trouble pack be found without purchasing it online? 2. How will I purchase it online because on Amazon, I need a reservation for that and a gift box for some reason? And 3. How do you find a gift box and the deep trouble pack without any trouble, like overpaying for it online or something else?
@InkbornHeroes9 ай бұрын
Hello Jacob, thanks for the comment! I can only answer based on my personal experience, but in reality we will never know until the release date of Ursula's Return. 1. The Illumineer's Quest - Deep Trouble pack should be available in any LGS and big box retailers (such as Target, Walmart, Gamestop etc). This pack is the equivalent to a "Gift Set" from The First Chapter, and Into the Inklands. So, in all honesty, I think you won't have any trouble finding it available on these stores on release date. 2. I don't know what you mean by "needing a reservation for a gift box" on Amazon. Deep trouble is a product on its own. It shouldn't require purchasing something else to get it as well. 3. Personally, I would NOT suggest overpaying for it right now. There should be no stock problems when the game releases in May. So, if you can't pre-order right now with its MSRP cost, don't do it. Just wait until release date and go to these shops I mentioned to grab yours. Last case scenario, if you can't get at LGS, you will easily be able to do so 2 weeks after, by going to any big box retailer. Hope that helps! Happy Questing!

am I the only one whos not big on the troves? idk I buy so many cards I need more storage anyways, so I'm just thinking about how to get the most booster packs for my money haha. I normally buy 2 of each starter decks to guarantee 2 copies of the rare/super rare shiny cards, plus the reprints u def want and then i buy 2-4/5 booster boxes depending what my pockets currently allow haha. with lorcana my goal is every card since its still new enough to manage that.
@InkbornHeroes9 ай бұрын
I tend to agree with you (regarding how to get the most quantity of packs with my money). And also wanting to have at least one of every single card (completing a master set) and then 4 of each for playset. But, I still love Troves. There's something about it that I really can't pass haha! Plus, it looks so beautiful as a collectible piece (and a way to store all of the hundreds of duplicates commons and uncommons!). :P

Troves are actually very bad for storage.. flimsy and the lid doesn’t hold at all.
@InkbornHeroes9 ай бұрын
@@stehlik We are actually big fans of using it for the bulk cards that we barely touch on the long term. Just a nice way to organize something for a while. But, if the idea is to be adding and removing it from it every day, then it is definitely not the best (strongest) option.

@InkbornHeroes8 ай бұрын
It’s to encourage people to support smaller businesses. I agree, in the past some LGS would exploit this and increase the price. Fortunately since Rise of the Floodborn, most LGS have been priced very competitively. Just never pay above RRSP, always shop around for the best price.

Im not a fan of the choice of taking the playmat art from past sets. While i love the tinkerbell art it seems odd that now we will never know when we will get mats of the artwork from this set. I also wish they would do more mats ikstead of just two per set since there is so much amazing artwork throughout the game.
@InkbornHeroes9 ай бұрын
I wish there would be more designs as well. Regarding picking art from previous sets, I personally don’t mind. But for the deck boxes and sleeves, I wish it was from the same set, so I could “match it up” with the starter decks for the same set. Thanks!
