The stats did go up. There was an update that adjusted the power boosts you get from stars, rankups and talents upgrades. Ive seen people jumping from 10.5 k to 14k after the update.

I beat it with 4,100 Bp. Using level 37 3* Mr. Fantastic, level 40 4* Violet & level 30 4* Donald Duck. Could not have done it w/out Violet! Anyone who says she isn’t S tier is nuts!
