I remember trying to get these. They were so hard! I wanted the splash mountain characters for my dad. He use to read those stories to me as a kid. The original stories before they were “Disney”. Everyone bought them up because they released at same time as announcement of splash mountain ride change to Princess and the Frog. I really hate I missed them!

Winnie the Pooh started in Canada. 😁 The name Winnie came from Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada.

@@juliegraham9929 But the bear is a Canadian Black Bear. The bear was named Winnie and was brought from Canada to London. When the owner was shipped out, Winnie was put in the London Zoo and later was donated to the zoo. The Pooh was from a swan named Pooh. AA Milne's son Christopher saw the bear a lot at the zoo and named his toy bear Winnie The Pooh. AA Milne wrote the stories for his son using the bear and Christophers other toys as the characters. The Gopher character was later added by Disney though. So since the bear came from Canada, technically the story of Winnie the Pooh started from Canada. 😁

I don't know how that is clutching at straws. The Pooh part may have come from England because of the swan but the Winnie part started in Canada.
