Okay, I gotta criticize. If you're saying Ariel is from Denmark instead of the US just because Denmark controlled the US Virgin Islands at the time that her story is set (and no, the author being Danish does NOT mean he's obligated to set his stories in mainland Denmark), then you also have to specify that Merida is from Scotland, NOT the UK, as Scotland did not belong to England at the time. Also, Jane is very clearly from England, not America. And you don't get to use the book as a pass because you're referring very clearly and specifically to the animated films. So you HAVE to use the date the animated film came out, which is 1999. And in the film, Jane is English. You are missing Moana, who is from Samoa, and Mirabel, who is from Colombia. Raya isn't from any specific country, but rather represents multiple regions in SE Asia, so if you want to narrow all of these down to one country, you'll have to omit her.

Also, I'm not clear of the criteria used to assign countries. If the countries assigned are those from the movies Anna and Elsa are not from Norway, but from the fictional Arendelle. If we are using the countries in which the original stories happen, Jasmine (and Aladdin) are from China.

Jasmine isn't from Saudi Arabia. Aladdin is an original Egyptian fable which takes place in Baghdad. That kind of dress belongs to Mesopotamia. Plus Jafar is a real-life Persian vizier at the service of the Khaliph. Khliphs normally ruled in Iraq,Syria and later in Egypt.
