They need to get rid of the gift shed entirely. It doesn’t fit and it blocks the views. It’s horribly out of scale as well. Fire whoever approved that.

That is good news. People may disagree, but I don't believe AI will ever reach the emotional or creative depths of human creativity. You can't stir feelings in your audience if you don't have any of your own.
@NicEeEe84321 сағат бұрын
If someday in the soonish future, what if you you can’t even tell if it’s human or AI. Will it not meet the emotional depths when you can’t even tell someday?

@NicEeEe843 It would be a mathematical formula. Not authentic. Not sincere and not based on human experience. My opinion. But that is how I see it.

The happiest place on earth is turning into the saddest place on earth thanks to bob and his woke buddies. I remember Walt using the saying it’s not Disneyland ready meaning something was not working right and not ready for on stage but modern Disney just slaps something out there not caring if it works or not.

If they're not spooked by this they should be. If I can afford to go I would but between the two of them I'll try to go to universal even if I know it's supposed to be a little bit more expensive but if I have to I will.

It is very disappointing to see the shortcuts used to rush this together. To be fair to Imagineering, historically on projects of this size and scope, it is not unprecedented for the specific park to leverage their own local Design and Engineering groups. Yes, each resort has their own in house design groups. They have in-house landscape architects, construction engineering, Park Enhancements ( decorating) electrical engineers, structural engineers and also their own in-house project managers. It is not uncommon for the in-house talent to work alongside the Imagineers. It may be inaccurate to dump all of this on the Imagineers. They may have had their hands tied when this project was conceived and staffed. Also, its a bit nitpicky to mock a off the shelf wall fountain. The issue is not that it was a non-custom fountain and purchased off the shelf. The issue is execution and context. If you don't tie the entire project together with a common thematic story with carefully placed props and appropriate patina that is historically correct , well, you get Six Flags. Barely. It seems Disney has embraced the early 2000's when it just needed to be "good enough".
@princezzpuffypants62875 сағат бұрын
This. And that in-house talent had to work within budgets and time constraints. This isn't their fault either. At the end of the day, this is a matter of the company not giving a rats patootie
@charlescox29019 сағат бұрын
The imagineers are doing they best they can with the limited schedule and budget they are given. It unfortunate that they're best efforts are being claimed solely on them.

Question: Is it not possible to edit AI images the same way you'd edit real pictures? It seems like a lot of companies are posting AI images as they are, without correcting the obvious flaws. Why don't/won't AI users fix the images before posting them in their ads or socials?
@DrFranklynAnderson8 сағат бұрын
That would require talent beyond just generating the image. I’m a graphic designer who’s used AI tools when, say, a customer wants a duct removed from a photo. But I’ll still then go in and use my 20+ years of Photoshop experience to clean up the effect so it looks flawless.
@princezzpuffypants62875 сағат бұрын
It's possible, if you know how to do it. But, if you have any talent, you aren't going to use AI images to begin with. These aren't artists we are talking about; just people shilling whatever garbage they can get folks to buy. Disney didn't buy the image, just a print of the image. Like someone else said, this would have been put together by in-house staff, not imagineering. Basically, they keep interior designers in-house. Those are the folks who put together this "carriage house"

AI is awesome for brainstorming as it rarely gives me what I ask for. Never would I use it as a finished product. The concepts are there, but AI needs human help with execution to be acceptable. That gift shop is ugly and misplaced. Modern Disney hates classic Disney.

Amazon Prime jokes! Who got free shipping lol I AM laughing right along side my other favorite minor Disney characters. I’ll start snarky, veer left - then head home. I thought Vash was 40 until I saw a 5 year old video recently that I was recommended - he can’t even bear children! The facial patches lie! Watch your back. Vash attack! I simply don’t trust teens. Hell they broke my mailbox. No one has taken notice that the donkey Kong ride sucks. I haven’t watched the POV but that’s the consensus. Mario kart - mixed reception Donkey - mixed reception I’m hoping Epic turns out great but right now we’re looking at some sweet coasters, A show, a grand carousel, and 2 E ticket dark rides that hopefully live up to the hype. That’s what supposed to carry a 2-3.5 billion $ park. Disney will be fine. Plateauing attendance when there’s a brand new park down the road is A-OK. This is all in good fun. I like your stuff as much as it makes me cringe. Be well and be merry.
