I decided not to cover the Magic Pool because it contains copyrighted material. I didn't care that the video had a ripple effect on it to fit with the pool theme. I know somebody's gonna recognize it and flag it. Better to be safe than sorry.
In the well kids waiting room of my local pediatrician there used to be this old beige computer that was usually running this game. I would try to play it a bit, but usually I would watch other kids play the game. I jumped up and down a little inside when I found it at a Goodwill. I will be reviewing the game later, but for now, enjoy!

Oh my God, now this is some top tier Nostalgia. This is such a basic memory for me that I couldn't even recognize most of it. I just knew that I recognized the sounds vividly. Then the rock game came, and I knew.

I love this game! This was probably one of my first computer games ever x3 I got this game again for Christmas last year :D I also have One hundred and one dalmatian! Now I'm hoping I'll get Hercules Animated Storybook then I'll have all my favorite childhood games :D

i remember playing this game on my moms mac computer when i was you because I love the lion king (still do) and this is how computer games should be like! It is sad they don't make them like this anymore! I know it's sad we never get to see the magic pool (it's mostly small clips of the lion king movie!) and zazu in this game if you click him for help was funny as always!

I miss playing this game on an old MAC that I had when I was a child. My parents wanted me to make the right choice to donate this hunk of junk to charity. The Shadow Lands really scared me back then, because I thought that the hyenas including Ed would come out of the screen and planned to kill me. It was only in my imagination due to lack of language as a way of telling the difference between real and pretend. If Ed and his hyena family came out of the computer, I'd scream and say, "Dad, get the gun" and he does that. SOL! I donated a copy of this game to charity. I used to have a Simba plush toy when I was little until I also gave him away along with a plastic figure of his evil uncle, Scar. It's pretty amazing that the voice actors continue to do their voice acting for this game based on the movie, The Lion King which was released 23 years ago. It's so sad that Mufasa isn't alive to see Young Simba interact with game players. I hate to sound rude, but you haven't even seen movies at the Magic Pool. I'd really ROFL just looking at them.

I watched part of this and skimmed over the rest. I think I played it once at an aunt's house when I was a kid - I was 'too old' but I 'helped' my little brother. Isn't there a part where you have to creep up a hill and pounce Zazu? That's the only thing that I remember.

I *thought* Ryan O'Donohue voiced Simba here... that's just like, besides voicing Kovu as a cub in the second movie, like he took over (again for Jonathan Taylor Thomas) as the second voice of Spot in the American dub of that Eric Hill series. (after research during this comment) Looks like other than him, the only non-reprisers are Nathan Lane and Rowan Atkinson (except in some footage; I trust *that's* why you were concerned about the "Magic Pool" part) in their roles.

It's possible you can find them on eBay or Amazon 🙂 as far as being able to play it, I think you'd have to install a certain driver and adjust the display settings, as you would on a Windows 98. I thought I remembered how I did this in my windows 8.1 laptop, but I don't recall- it's been so long since I tried because I really wanted to make my laptop be able to run Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 as well 😊

To tell the truth- Nathan Lane and Quinton Flynn do an awesome job about doing the voices of Timon while Kevin Schon, Jim Cummings and Bruce Lanoil do a lousy job. Plus, Billy Eichner will be the best while Max Casella would have been the worst.
