Disney's Animal Kingdom on its 25th Anniversary | Food Crawl | Merchandise | Tiffins & More!

April 22nd, 2023 marked 25 years since the opening of Walt Disney World's wildest theme park, Disney's Animal Kingdom. To commemorate the occasion, Animal Kingdom made available special food, drinks, merchandise and a slew of character meet & greets.
In our opinion, this is one of the most unique parks in the world and the most relaxing of Walt Disney World's signature line up. As usual with us, we were curious to see all the festivities and everything Animal Kingdom had to offer on this special Earth Day.
We embarked on a 25th anniversary exclusive food crawl, checked out all the merchandise, go over where to find each special character and dined at a restaurant that pays homage to the creation of Animal Kingdom, Tiffins. See our thoughts, bites, triumphs, fails and wild good time as we celebrate 25 years of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The totem poles in Tiffins were originally in Camp Minnie Mickey, which was were Pandora is now. Also, watch Mammoth Club to learn about the elephants and the bees.

Aww I really felt your disappointment that the dessert was sold out! Definitely the way a Disney day can go! I just want to say how much we love your channel. We are all about the food at Disney (loved it when Sam said she’d rather spend the handbag money on food - same!) Our Disney vlogs feature a lot of food and we have a Disney dining page on FB. Hahaha I already got my starbies from creature comfort and my pumba popcorn and left before the 25th stage show even started so glad there was way to many ppl there best thing about being local come and go as often as I want

Yum! All of the new treats for the 25th look so good and we love that animal kingdom is getting some of the special attention it deserves! I doubt we’ll be back to WDW in time to try these snacks and treats, but they all look pretty good! Awesome video 😊

Starbucks in WDW always blow me away with how efficient they are! I'm not a honey person, but Greg would love that dome cake. That lounge fly is so cute! I like the natural leather look too. Love seeing Kevin in the park! :) Greg can't get enough buttercream on a cupcake, but I agree Disney has a LOT of buttercream lol. Whoa, that Moana line is intense haha! 2.5 hours?! Wow, haha! Frank is sooo sweet 🥰 Love seeing the 25th anniversary merchandise! I've always wanted to eat at Tiffins, Greg has, but I haven't! 😂So cool the lettuce/veggies come from the Land pavilion! Awesome video as always!! :)

Those Starbucks cast members are truly magical, bc that was place was pure chaos. Because it was a mousse the honey flavor was very light. Lounge fly is very pretty and Kevin was all over the place wildin' out, it was great! Disney loves Butter Cream for sure. It's nice being able to come home and see Frank :) Tiffin's is a beautiful restaurant and has a very calming feel. Love eating from the Land!!!! Thanks so much for watching-your trip is SO soon!!!

Animal Kingdom is my favorite. ❤ I always get my coffee from the Joffrey’s tea cart in Asia. I love when Jay wears that cool Scar shirt. ☺️ I really liked the anniversary loungefly. It’s “Nick the Actual Vegan”! 😂 I agree with you both, it gives more flatbread than pizza but glad to hear it was pretty good. The special character appearances have been fun to see. Tiffins is such a great restaurant. The updated bread service is even better than before, I really the pink loaf. Cool that they offer a salad sourced from the Land. Lobster mac was a popular choice when our family ate there together. Always a good sign when you don’t need the knife for short rib. That’s a nice looking charcuterie board. Oh no the dessert! 😕

We were debating stopping by a Joffrey’s but I think the 25th treat is what pulled us into Creature Comforts. The Scar shirt is 🔥, thank you 😃. We feel like Nick always brings top tier commentary and descriptions when he's with us. Real happy he's a passholder now and was able to meet up. As a flatbread the vegan pizza was top tier! Tiffins is definitely one of the best restaurants in Disney World. We just didn't have luck on this night. Still had great food and it was the perfect spot to celebrate AK's 25th.

I am loving all this loving that Animal Kingdom is getting during its 25th! DAK has always and will always be our favorite of the WDW parks ❤ I am also not a big mushroom fan, but glad to see the vegan menus expanding at the parks - even if this particular offering winds up being a limited run. Shame that you guys were not able to meet up with Moana, but something tells me that she’ll be around a lot more often from here on out. 👀 If not, at least we know that we can always find her waiting for us at Aulani! Tiffins is one of our all-time favorite Disney dining venues, too. Nomad may have the bread service going for it, but only Tiffins has that legendary short rib 🤤 It’s definitely pricey, but it’s worth every penny! Good on you, Sam, for being adventurous! Sorry that you guys weren’t able to try the special 25th anniversary dessert, but, upside - you did get to close down the park ✨ I think of it as something to come back for! Great video, guys!

I think we'll be back on a less crowded day to see Moana. Definitely seems like she'll be around for a bit and her appearance alludes to a retheme. Tiffins is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Disney. The perfect spot to celebrate the 25th too given its existence pays homage to the creation of the Animal Kingdom. I used to not care about AK. After a few visits I absolutely fell in love with it and it's my #1 park followed by Epcot then MK. It just has so many nooks and crannies. I really liked the merch for the 25th. I think the last time I've been to AK was 2 years ago? I don't even remember. Will be happy to be there next year though! I'd try the pizza but we'r snobs about pizza too. Kevin is too cute! Flame Tree area is where I could live forever. It's so peaceful sometimes, the water features, ugh. That cupcake looks like too much 🙈 I would not wait 2 hours for Moana 😨 That's one huge cinnamon roll. It needs more wets! Frank 🖤 Dang! I had told Chad that Jay would have liked the tank top but dang! Bummer that it was female cut. Same Sam, same. I have so many purses and I only use like one or two 🙈 We have tiffins on our list for next year! Never been there but have heard good reviews. Off to a good start with a beautiful cocktail. That salad looks so good. As does the bread service! Omg guava sauce? 🤤 I've heard the mac and cheese is heavenly. Gah! I would have been so bummed about the dessert. There was a flamingo cupcake that was guava with strawberry too I believe that I think you would have liked. We love you guys with whatever y'all put out but understand your feelings. Ok enough of my novel 😂✌🏼

To me(Jay), Animal Kingdom feels the most vacationy of any WDW parks and without a doubt the best themed. The cupcake was what we expected and the Cinnamon Roll without a doubt needed some wet goodness. Not on the level of Gaston's Tavern for sure. I appreciate Sam's practicality but I would've liked to spoiler her a bit with the bag! Can't wait for you both to experience Tiffins. Probably my favorite in park restaurant at WDW. It feels like you're dining in the heart of Animal Kingdom. Thanks for your understanding on the dessert debacle 😆. They were very kind and offered us something else but we specifically ate here for the dessert and were resultantly pretty let down. You guys are the best and we appreciate the kind words 😃.

Great video as always. Don’t be upset about the dessert. As someone who watches religiously I think you do a great job at not just providing helpful information but are entertaining as well. I love a late reservation because you get to see the park when no one is in it. Now question for both of you, if you were staying at AK for one night with park reservations what one restaurant would you choose?!?

Lodge or park? If we're talking the whole of Animal Kingdom resorts and park, then without a doubt Jiko. Jiko is easily in my top 5 Disney restaurants. If in park then Tiffins. It was really nice to see the park with no one in it. Was almost eerie. Thanks for the kind words. We try to be as informative as we can be but also provide an accurate depiction of our experience. Unfortunately on this night it wasn't meant to be but we still had a great time 😃.
