Saw this yesterday at the QPAC Lyric theatre and it was an absolutely stunning show. I adored it and so did my 6 year old, absolutely fantastic performance by each and every performer and musician!!

watched it a week ago, one of our last stops for our trip to AU and i swear the transitions were *magical* we got row d in the middle and like i searched the stage for props for the transitions and it was so good and gaston and lumier were the best at singing! my fav tho is cogsworth and lumier and madame they were so good at the comedy!! and it was JUST *MAGICAL!*

This is a late reply, I play chip and it’s either a 45 degree angle, or their body is behind this wall in the cart and their body is slanted type! Hope this helped 😊!

I watched this last night. My husband says it's pre-recorded because everything's perfect. No change in voice loudness, no unwanted or extra sounds when skipping or jumping while singing. I said it's live. Which is which?

It's live, I just watched it yesterday, happened that one phrase by Cogsworth is a bit muted by accident, but still it's a wonderful show!

@user-qn4oj4hq7c I thought so. I've watched Lion King twice at Capitol Theatre too but it was at the Dress Circle. This time around, we booked the at the stalls. I'm glad we did. It was fantastic!

He's somehow right. Normally, they would use a pre-recorded track for some hard part, such as a part that has insane and tiring choreography, or parts that weren't good for the actors to sing 8 times a week. But 95%-99% of the time, it's all live.

No major musical these days are 100% live. There is always an underlying backing track for singing. You cannot sing and dance and be as clear as shows are these days.
