are you referencing the sting videos? You actually see the animal sting him in those videos. I'm sure there is a level of production involved, when searching for a particular animal, my guess is their resident biologist goes out and finds the animal in advance of the filming team and his search for the animal is either fake, or it's just cleverly edited to make it look a lot faster than it is in reality. I don't even think his sting reactions are fake, when you read what schmidt rated a level 4 sting, like the bullet ant, i'd scream too.

I watch Clint's reptiles and he debunked Brave Wilderness' bullet and bite video. If you do a brave wilderness video, it would be worth including.

I was always under the presumption that most nature documentaries or general videos have some staged quality to it. Some of the shots they get would be unrealistic to achieve naturally. So seeing brave wilderness doesn't surprise me and I'm not necessarily disappointed by it, as long as no one or animals get hurt and the presentation is educational

Would like to hear more about the brave wilderness beef... still though that turtle clip doesn't really surprise or bother me since they probably did catch it (probably with a net) but just didn't get the footage so they recreated it which is understandable, hey at least they didn't tie the turtle underwater and simple did a bad sleight of hand.

I've heard horror stories about the filming of Milo and Otis too. It's so sad what they used to put animals through just for movies ;;A;;

In fact, the episode that talks about this adventurer capturing a turtle out of the water, I couldn't believe he did it for real, and it's clear, how can you shoot, carry a camera, and at the same time make a step in order to pounce on an animal that is so fast moving in the water, you won't be able to pick it up.

Although Brave Wilderness do fake like a lot of the scenes I'm still not going to unsubscribe

I used to watch a lot of brave wilderness and am interested what your beef is. I dont super mind faking shots for the narrative, as long as theyre recreating something they didnt film or showing something in a still realistic way. But i did stop watching over time as it felt they got more and more clickbaity and less educational. I still feel like theyre ultimately a force for good so i wanna know if im missing something

Oh also i just rememebered two dudes on clints reptiles got stung by bullet ants (with the stinger stuck in for shockingly long so defs nots of venom injected) and they were just like, kinda non plussed and it took hours to get really bad. That did made me trust his sting videos a lot less, so i wonder how prevelant that type of stretching the truth is on the channel. But also like bee stings hurt p much 100% instantly so i wouldnt be surprised if some things he got stung by were actually that fast actuing 🤷♀️

I saw a documentary about a company that provides acting animals to filming companies, I don't remember if that company was associated with the ridiculous numbers of owls involved in Harry Potter 1. The company also provides animals for nature documentaries. Bear Grylls does a lot of real stuff, but the documentary I saw showed Don of Grylls' own footage in which you could see horseshoes on one of the supposedly wild horses he rode somewhere. Grylls warrants other criticisms that I'm not familiar with.

When I was younger, I loved Brave Wilderness videos. I never imagined that they would fake stuff. Maybe over exaggerate, but not straight up fake stuff. I definitely would like to learn more about this!

Wasn’t there a documentary where a polar bear was filmed giving birth in a zoo but it was framed as if the bear was a wild one

Personally I don't care if things are faked for drama (especially drama of whatever story surrounds the host themselves) or for better shots, only if false information is promoted. Brave Wilderness is still extremely cringey and obnoxious though, clearly bait for kids and it got so annoying and dumbed down over time I find it unwatchable.

Well, that didn't depict "suicide" after all. (But this is where i got the idea they would follow their compatriots into danger -or cultish ideas- without question, simply bc that's what everyone else was doing. Not suicide though. Maybe Яedrum, however.
