Disney's Cars Mater cake topper rusty truck

How to make Mater the rusty truck from Disney Pixar's Cars movie as a cake topper. With the upcoming release of the new Cars 3 film I decided Mater would be a great cake topper to make! :)

So awesome, Zoe! You really captured the rusty look and his expressive eyes. Since the fondant is edible but not very appetizing, I'm sure there are parents out there that want to keep their kids 1st bday cake topper for all of eternity. : ) Do they freeze it?
