I like the format of this shopping event at the fair grounds and then using a phone app to scan bar code to add to check price or add to virtual shopping cart, some big box stores have apps like that for shopping

I like how you say people were really excited . I would say “excited”. I got pushed, stepped on, reached over, yelled at. It was chaotic and stressful. It was so bad yesterday around 2pm. We went today and we’re able to get in around 11 and they reconfigure it, quit letting people camp out, but sadly some were camping out sitting on the floor listing their stuff on EBay. Thankfully it was way better and calmer today.

Totally! They’re having one this year too, I love the Universal AP garage sales. This Disney one was a little nicer, atmosphere wise tho. The universal ones almost always only have Harry Potter stuff.

I’m happy that AP’s are getting a little more, “advantages” don’t get me wrong… but as a former Disney Store CM all of this merch used to come to our stores. It was an opportunity for guests who couldn’t make it to the parks to get a little magic ✨ forever wishing Disney would bring back some of the stores!

Really interesting, did not know these events existed, great to come along with you. Some fantastic items there (especially the Epcot items). Only disappointing thing was to see "Made in China" on every box, so even with the discount Disney must be making a fair amount of money, shows how marked up the items are in the parks and shops. Thanks for saving me the trip!!! I appreciate that immensely. There just seems to be a lot of underwhelming stuff there. There's a reason why it's heavily discounted...no one wanted it to begin with and it's been sitting in a warehouse taking up space for ages. It's dead stock. Being a guy...all the little bags/purses and glittery things are of no interest to me. The Mad Hatter Tea Pot was probably the best thing they had that you showcased (and maybe the bowls). Interestingly, the Mickey/Jose Funko you showed was even cheaper on Amazon a couple of weeks ago (and it's weird because that Mickey was in another set and the Jose was as well I believe). I did find it funny how they're not even hiding the Made In China on every box...that's how you know it's cheaply sourced. They're more than likely paying between $2-5 per pieces like dishes/bowls so even at 50-60% off they're still making a huge profit...just goes to show you the mark up and why the Parks are profitable.
