The whole Z thing was popularized by comic book artists, you cant have sounds in a book so you write them. Its called onomatopeia. Words like buzz, pop, bang, boom. All of them are used to describe sounds, but speciffically it was used to denote a sleeping charecter, much in the same way X was used to denote a dead charecter.

Most people prefer companies like Capcom for the RE games, SquareEnix for the Final Fantasy games, Konami for the Silent Hill games and Rockstar for the GTA games, but Rare is one of a kind

I 100% the game, the cutscenes were the bad. But treasures were quite fun, like puzzles. For it's time, it's ok. I liked playing though.
